Being Patient With God

Waiting On God Produces Hope

"The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him... it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD" (Lamentations 3:25-26 NIV).

Date: 06/04/2026 By Brother Glenn

Just after my evening prayers, I fell asleep and heard a strong choir singing loudly WITH THEIR VOICES BEING HEARD  ACROSS THE WORLD, "SOON AND VERY SOON, WE ARE GOING TO SEE THE KING" repeatedly...End of Vision!

A few years ago, I received a precious and most beautiful promise from the Lord, which I'm not going to disclose here. As we all know, it is very hard to exercise patience while waiting, but the spirit of hope kept the anticipation alive. I was looking forward to each new day, while praying for the fulfilment of the promise. Without any exaggeration, there is nothing so completely fulfilling and refreshing as a direct prophetic WORD on a person's life, knowing the Almighty God Himself watches over His Word to bring it to fruition (Jeremiah 1:12), and this comes with an overwhelming sense of being favored by the Lord and His reassuring love.

While holding on to the promise, our faith is being tested (Romans 4:18-22), and dark shadows of doubt enter us, leading us to despair and impatience (Exodus 32:1), which comes with severe consequences (Numbers 11:26-35). Having known the Lord for more than 30 years and being exposed to various Ministries, I have observed that many Christians have been taught incorrectly to demand things from God, following the "name it and claim it" deceptive doctrine.

Brethren, when the Lord has promised us something, He requires us to humbly approach Him in all fear and trembling (2 Samuel 6:9; Hebrews 12:21). The Lord is no respector of persons (Acts 10:34), and while we wait on Him to deliver on His promises, we should be mindful of His authority and Lordship over our lives (Ephesians 5:23). We once had a brother in the Lord requesting us to ask the Lord for a Word for him. The tone of his request was at best disrespectful, demanding, and inappropriate, and the Lord's response was a gentle yet stern rebuke.

In conclusion, let us exercise patience and persevere in prayer while waiting for those precious promises of the LORD.

Blessed Regards

Brother Glenn

Encouraging Each Other

“But encourage each other daily, while it is still called today so that none of you is hardened by sin's deception” (Hebrews 3:13 HCSB).

NOTICE: WE WILL PLACE AN UPDATE TOMORROW (31/03/2026 ON OUR VISIONS PAGE. PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK IT OUT! SHALOM!

Brethren, we would like to share a word of encouragement with you to revive your faith and confidence in the Lord (Romans 1:11). It is true, as Christians, we are not always happy people, and oftentimes we are faced with conflicting feelings and emotions, which hinder our faith and walk with the Lord. Therefore, temperaments and negative attitudes form part of our daily experiences, and these emotions may lead us to shameful conduct if we follow its dictates. However, if we fully recognize and acknowledge these emotions as a hindrance to a sound relationship with others and God we would then have an opportunity to seek His help and overcome so that we can genuinely express ourselves with the marks of a true Christian (Romans 12:9-12). Let us not lose heart brethren our faithfulness and persistence will be duly rewarded.

God Uses Encouragement To Lift Burden Of Pain

This message is a reminder that we are living in a broken world where hardship, suffering, pain, and oppression are a reality (John 16:33). Knowing that our journey through this life would not be easy, the Lord guaranteed us His peace to serve as our consolation (John 14:27). It is this peace from the Lord that should calm the storm of our ever rampant feelings of anxiety and uncertainty. This peace should also give us security (Psalm 112:7). I can recall, often if anyone of us had suffered some attack or experienced an unpleasant situation the Lord, the Lord would always offer some comforting words and it would be like a huge pain that has been lifted which was being replaced with a pleasant feeling of happiness (Revelations 21:4). If we are in the Word, nothing should discourage us to the point of losing our faith and confidence in God, thus encouragement from the Lord, His Word or from fellow brethren is a fresh breath of the Spirit to the burden of pain and to get us refocused on our journey.

Our Confidence

In the book of Hebrews, Paul states, “So don’t throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you need endurance, so that after you have done God’s will, you may receive what was promised” (Hebrews 10:35-36 HCSB). This is a very serious virtue to have; we should never be without confidence in this race of faith in Christ. Some time ago, I issued a rebuke to someone who did not take it well but allowed the rebuke to weaken her faith. The Lord, in a strong message of encouragement to the person, said that she should not allow the rebuke to conquer her faith and confidence, but to emerge stronger with a humble attitude.

We have another sister whom the Lord had rebuked for being an unfaithful witness. She was discouraged for a while by this, and whenever she was running some errands she would be tempted not to witness, which led to her being unfaithful in witnessing. However, after these rebukes, she took this in prayer to the Lord to teach her, help her, and give her the boldness to share. As she continued to pray and obey the Lord by witnessing (Matthew 28:19-20; Luke 14:21), she grew in her confidence and the Lord later commended her for being a faithful witness.

Oftentimes people hide in their shame after committing mistakes, and the fear of facing themselves and the world leads them to go “underground”. After enduring a humbling rebuke from the Lord, a sister resorted to self-hatred (self-loathing), thinking that her mistake had usurped her salvation. However, in loving-kindness the Lord restored her confidence by encouraging her to receive His forgiveness and forgive herself as well, and stop hating herself. This was a timely and life-changing encouragement that lifted her from self-rejection because she’d thought that the Lord had rejected her. I personally also received some strong rebukes from the Lord which could have left me paralyzed with resentment for the Lord, but instead He taught me to be humble and have a heart full of appreciation for His loving guidance. Brethren, from my experience, I have found that people often try avoiding those who have rebuked them, and this has led many Christians into the sin of harboring hateful feelings towards their brothers.

Admittedly, in this ministry, we have made some mistakes and some brethren that we work with made mistakes too. However, the spirit of humility and showing of our love and submission to Christ has resulted in a strong bond of true Christian love and respect for one another. When we serve to please the Lord, we must never be ashamed when we earn rebukes from our brothers or sisters in Christ (Ephesians 5:10).

Lifting Up Your Broken Brother

As Christians, we are encouraged to faithfully serve God and our fellow brethren, to “… be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works, not staying away from our worship meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near” (Hebrews 10:24-25 HCSB). As we mentioned in Be Passionate for Christ article, not showing up to fellowship meetings or leaving hinders others' passion and may cause love to grow cold which makes room for the sin holding grudges and hateful feelings. In messages to us, the Lord recognized the presence of some weak brethren amongst us, and He often reminded us not to look down on them but to encourage them in patience as they grow in their faith and understanding in the Lord. It is true that our good confidence in the Lord can sometimes blind us, and in our display of superior faith, we expect some weak brethren in our midst to be like us. This shows our intolerance towards our fellow man; we are expected to act maturely by patiently guiding the misguided and weak brothers and sisters (1 Thessalonians 5:14).

As we shared in our recent article on the Joy of Knowing the Lord Jesus Christ when a Christian starts losing their first love, their joy fades and the excitement which gripped them at the beginning of their conversion turns into a faithless motion, where he or she pretends that all is well, masking the reality that they have become a sinking ship. This kind of attitude renders one a spent force, defeated, and with depleted energy marking the end of their confidence in Christ.

The Courage of the Oppressed

Great men of God have often found courage in the Lord, and their faith and confidence gave hope to those around them (1 Samuel 30:6). We may recall that the life of the young boy, Joseph, who was alone in a foreign country, separated from the support of his family. However, he found the courage and a trusted friend in the God of his fathers, and his faith led to the preservation of nations (Genesis 50:20). Likewise, when Daniel was being persecuted and oppressed by the jealousies of his colleagues, he found no one to comfort him, so he turned to God. Daniel did not lose his confidence and trust in God, but his steadfast demeanor inspired not only the kings he served under but future generations as well (Daniel 6:10-27). What these men of God had in common is that they had no one but God to trust. Will our generation stop complaining and having a “want more” attitude and serve the Lord in a humble and submissive attitude?

Brother and sisters, in this day and age where Christians are increasingly experiencing persecution for their beliefs in the Lord Jesus Christ and the unchanging truth of the Word of God, we should encourage one another to faithfully keep serving the Lord and endure to the very end till Christ returns to take us Home (1 Thessalonians 4:17-18; 5:11).

To begin a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, please start by praying this Prayer of Sincere Repentance. For any questions or comments on this article or our ministry, please contact us.

Blessed Grace,

Brother Glenn.

Why Christians Should Fear The Lord

Fearing God Almighty

Visions you can found it here

I (Brother Glenn) received a vision from the Lord early Thursday morning (13/02/2020). In the vision, I was standing in our back yard when my attention was drawn to thick dark clouds which were gathering and breaking up into sizable chunks covering the entire sky. As I looked at the phenomena right in front of me I felt a deep fear as it turned day light into total darkness (Joel 2:2; Zephaniah 1:15).

I then immediately ran into the house to tell my family and just before I could speak, I heard a man as if announcing on television to the whole world, "This is the end of the world as we all know it". Soon after this announcement, I went outside again and I saw many people going about their lives as if nothing is going to happen (Revelation 22:11) And the vision ended!

Brief interpretation

We believe the dark clouds that are gathering and the announcement is a warning to the world that we are in the beginning  stages of the end times. As a ministry and family, we have been attacked by some brothers for sharing visions from the Lord especially related to the end times (Jeremiah 26:8-24) but we will continue to obey the Lord.

Vision to Claudia 14/02/2020

During the early hours of Friday, I received a vision from the Lord. A warm, pure white bright light appeared to me and took me to a city with very tall buildings in the USA. While being in this white warm cloud, I looked down a very large and big hole opened up and I saw countless people and their cars falling into this hole (Numbers 16:32), then the vision ended!

“Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell" (Matthew 10:28 NLT). And

"Fear of the LORD is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment" (Proverbs 9:10).

We pray that the will of the Lord God be made clearer to you all, and that you be found perfect in His will. We pray that you celebrate life through Christ this new year.

And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God (Ephesians 5:18-21 NKJV).

A simple search of the online Bible reveals that the word “fear” is used well over 100 times in reference to God. The Bible admonishes us not only to honor all people (including our leaders) and love our brothers and sisters in Christ, but to fear and honor the Lord as well (1 Peter 2:17 NKJV). Furthermore, the Word of God also teaches us that fearing God is required for one to gain wisdom (Proverbs 1:7; 9:10; 15:33; Psalm 111:10).

Initially, when we fear God, we spontaneously and submissively yield to His will in humble reverence and awe to His authority. The single best freedom humanity can enjoy for all time is Truth! Why? Because Truth sets us free (John 8:32)—no guilt, worry, fear, possessions, or fleshly desires are attached to truth. That Truth is Jesus Christ, and it is only through Him that we can have true freedom and eternal life (John 8:36; 14:6).

Naturally, when we correct our children (who have been taught in the ways of the Lord) after they have misbehaved, their response to our rebuke is often with reverence and with a sense of fear for God. As our Lord said, children are humble and more responsive to the fear of God than adults (Matthew 18:3-4). The Lord’s promise to us, as parents, is that if we bring up our children in the ways of the Lord, we would reap the benefit of them walking in the fear of God all the days of their lives (1 Samuel 1:21-28; Proverbs 22:6).

How We Lose our Fear of God

From the Bible, we learn that the fear of God is the foundation to attaining wisdom (Proverbs 1:7; 9:10; 15:33; Psalm 111:10). Alluding to this fact, the Word of God warns us to guard against and avoid “godless chatter” or “profane and idle babblings and contradictions” or “irreverent empty speeches” that the world considers to be “knowledge” or “staying informed”; these types of talks and arguments will surely dilute and deviate our faith (1 Timothy 6:20-21). In my experience, and from what I have observed, we indeed start losing our fear for God when we are drawn to other interests which direct us away from God. Some of these distractions are well explained in the Bible; for example worldliness, love of money, and addictions (1 John 2:15; James 4:4; 2 Corinthians 6:14). In addition to these, I have identified a few other influences that also contribute negatively to our relationship with God.

Desires: To us Christians, the Bible is God’s infallible Word which carries a life-changing and life-giving instruction to mankind. We read in the Bible how several people, who knew God and had a relationship with Him initially, defied His will and chose to walk contrary to His ways (2 Chronicles 24:17-19; 2 Timothy 4:10). Exercising God’s will is a choice, and defying sin brings us two victories: God’s acceptance of our obedience and freedom from guilt. Our weakness as humans is that our choices are often influenced by our desires, which come either through someone or something that our senses capture. For example, Adam and Eve gave into the devil’s temptation when Eve "saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom...."(Genesis 3:1-6). Likewise, David gave in to lust and committed adultery when he saw that “…the woman was very beautiful…” (2 Samuel 11:1-4).

Influence from others: Bad influence from others can also detract our choice for obedience (1 Corinthians 15:33). For example, two arrogant men, Azariah and Johanan, falsely accused the Prophet Jeremiah of lying, and they influenced the people to flee to Egypt, contrary to God’s warning (Jeremiah 43:1-7). Also, in the Garden of Eden, the serpent influenced Eve to sin, and in turn Eve influenced Adam (Genesis 3:6). Rehoboam, who succeeded his father Solomon as king over Israel, was influenced by the young men he had grown up with to impose greater burdens on the people. He rejected the wise counsel of the elders who had urged him to be a servant leader and serve his people with equity and kindness (1 Kings 12:1–15).

Fear of man: Many people often fall into the trap of rejecting Godly counsel in exchange for human counsel and sympathy; this is giving victory to the devil. In the Scriptures, such an attitude is best described by these words from King Saul: “I have sinned. I violated the LORD's command and your instructions. I was afraid of the men and so I gavein to them” (1 Samuel 15:24)During the time of Exodus, of the twelve men sent by Moses to spy the land of Canaan, only two (Caleb and Joshua) expressed confidence that God would help Israel conquer the land, and they urged the people not to have confidence in God and not rebel against Him, because the Lord was with them (Numbers 13:30; 14:6-9).The remaining ten spies were afraid and scared of “the giants”, so they discouraged the people and influenced them to rebel against Moses and Aaron (Numbers 13:31-33; 14:1-4, 10). The Hebrew midwives (Shiphrah and Puah) stood faithfully; they “… feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do; they let the boys live” (Exodus 1:17). The prophet Daniel also, when he learned of the plot against him, was not afraid. Instead of giving in to fear, “he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days”(Daniel 6:10 NKJV)The Bible warns us that “fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe”(Proverbs 29:25). We should not fear man or seek to please others, but God alone (Isaiah 2:22; Isaiah 51:12; Galatians 1:10; 1 Thessalonians 2:4; Colossians 3:23; 2 Corinthians 5:9; 2 Timothy 1:7).Moreover, the Lord Jesus Christ Himself reiterated that we should“not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28).

Possessions and power: Today’s economic environment is quite enticing to many. The explosion of goods, services, and flashy new technologies in the market makes it very easy for the devil to tempt us. Consequently, material things and thirst for power can separate us from God’s will (Matthew 19:16-23; Luke 8:14). There are some wealthy and influential people in this world whose power is their possessions and they have no fear of God. In their lust and greed for more material things, they reject eternal life—the most precious of all gifts—for worldly gain and the short-lived pleasure of sin (Luke 12:13-21; Hebrews 11:25). Sadly, many people are following them.

As a fact, today’s booming worldly entertainment media, such as television, movies, the Internet, videos and social media, promote the breakdown of family relationships and have become great stumbling blocks to godly living. In personal messages to many of us, the Lord admonished and encouraged us not to fear men. Although we are commanded to respect all men (1 Peter 2:17), we must not be afraid of their opinions of us, nor should we be ashamed of our convictions and our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 5:26-32).

Are You Living for God or for Your Own Pleasures?

Not too long ago, the Lord spoke to us in a vision, saying that we are hated by many Christians because of sharing His strong messages of rebuke against sin and wicked practices in the Church (John 17:14). We love doing the Lord’s work and our fear is for the Lord God alone. The Lord’s message is a strong warning against worldliness among Christians (Matthew 13:18-22; Romans 8:7).

As a ministry, the value we attach to truthful living and holiness far exceeds the luxuries of this life. While some may boast about their [temporary] power and earthly possessions, we know they are also driven by guilt and a strong fear of death. We should not value useless things above God and allow others to sway us from the path of truth; even in caring for others we must seek to please God (Matthew 7:13-14; 13:18-23). In the Book of Acts, we read about how Ananias and his wife Sapphira lost their lives as a result of greed for money and love of worldly possessions (Acts 5:1-11); what they treasured controlled them (Matthew 6:21). Using their example as a warning, we should not exchange the fear of God for anything; be it riches, power, or fame (Matthew 16:26). Instead, we should strive to faithfully and obediently serve God and allow nothing to separate us from Him (Romans 8:38-39). Like Job, we are encouraged to be wise by fearing the Lord and shunning evil (Job 1:1; 2:3; Proverbs 14:16; Ecclesiastes 12:13).

There are many Christian leaders who encourage us to “follow your heart” and “pursue your dreams.” The question we should ask ourselves is this: how do those dreams and plans in our hearts measure up to God’s will? Are those dreams only in pursuit of worldly happiness, comfort, and “success”, without the Cross of Jesus? If so, as the Lord Jesus explained in the Parable of the Rich Fool (Luke 12:16-21), your dreams are self-serving and for your own glory, and they will only inspire those who seek praise from man! In contrast, pursuing godly dreams through the cross of Jesus, despite persecution and hatred from the world, will lead to the salvation of others, resulting in glory to Christ. The Bible teaches us that Truth through the cross comes at the cost of insults, hatred and blood (Luke 6:22; John 15:18; 2 Timothy 3:12; 1 Peter 3:16; 4:12-14; 2 Corinthians 4:8-12). Do you think any of Christ’ followers conquered the world being applauded by the masses, without insults and hatred from the world which hates the truth? (Matthew 5:11; John 15:18).

Are you struggling with sins or temptations, be they thoughts, habits, addictions, or behaviors that drive you from the fear of God? Repent and conquer them in Jesus’ name, for the power is in your possession—choice (Genesis 4:6-7) and the Lord is willing to set you free (Acts 2:38; 3:19; 8:22; 1 John 1:9; Romans 6:6-7). Is the fear of man and of persecution holding you back from fearing God, serving Him, and doing His will? The Lord Jesus can set you free if you receive Him into your heart and follow Him as your Master, Lord, and Savior (John 8:32; 36). I, therefore, urge you to “...fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods… Serve the Lord! And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve… But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:14-15 NKJV).

If you are not yet born again, please pray this Prayer of Sincere Repentance to get started. For any questions or comments on this article or our ministry, please contact us.

Have a blessed New Year in God’s fear.

Worldly Behaviour Displeases God

“Adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? So whoever wants to be the world's friend becomes God's enemy” (James 4:4 HCSB).

THERE WILL BE AN UPDATE TOMORROW (10 MARCH 2026) ON OUR LATEST VISIONS SECTION!

Rapture Vision (Brother Glenn) This can also be found in our visions page.

I received a vision from the Lord during the very early morning hours of Saturday (22/02/2020). In the vision, my family and I were together at home sleeping, it appeared to be very late at night (Matthew 25:6). I heard a loud voice and I just knew it was the LORD speaking and He called each one of us using the same words just using our names saying, "Cailin, My good and faithful (Matthew 25:23) servant come forth" (John 11:43). And immediately, I saw Cailin (our seven year old daughter) being transformed into a body of light flying through the roof and the sky and standing at the Lord's right hand side and the rest of us were called too and standing in the sequence we were called (Matthew 25:34). as I looked around I saw multitudes of other people also on the Lord's right hand side. end of vision!

Brief explanation

Brethren, the Lord is again warning us and exciting us to be ready and prepared for this great event the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18). Let us keep up the good work and continue doing the will of God. After this vision, I asked the Lord why Cailin (our 7 year old daughter) was being good and faithful since she never labored the Lord said, her obedience to us as her parents, her praying, bible reading and her participating in our ministry worship services and family devotional times makes her faithful in His eyes. Therefore, no brother or sister young or old should consider any contribution in terms of doing God's will as trivial. The Lord rewards every act of obedience that is done in His name and that brings Glory and honor to Him (1 Corinthians 10:31; Hebrews 6:10).

Brethren, this message is from God and it is serious. Don’t take it lightly; it is a warning! In previous articles (specifically Worldly Dressing, Appreciating the Way You Look, and Women in Pants and External Adornments), we have shared with you from the Lord that makeup and worldly dressing is worldly and goes against the Christian way of life, which is holiness and non-conformation to worldliness (Romans 12:1-2). Our message is a word of correction from the Lord.

This article on worldliness is a reminder from the Lord to Christians to stop embracing worldly principles and practices and to live as ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20).This article is being presented to show that some things that Christians consider as normal are indeed worldly. We will therefore use Scriptural evidence to lead our convictions as well as some warnings we received from the Lord regarding worldly behaviour.

Satan, the god of this World

In order for us to understand Satan’s role in this world, we must acknowledge what the Bible says regarding him. Unfortunately, some people don’t believe in Satan’s existence and as the god of this sinful world (1 Corinthians 1:28). This rests entirely upon their faith as it requires faith to accept the Bible’s evidence and testimony about the devil. In this brief study, we will examine a few scriptures to satisfy ourselves with truth relating to Satan’s being and behaviour. The Bible says: “Regarding them: the god of this age (World) has blinded the minds of the unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Corinthians 4:4; John 12:31).

From the above Scriptures, Satan is seen to be blinding people spiritually, so that they ignore the gospel of salvation. He is also the one using the various resource of the world to tempt and make us submissive to him (Matthew 4:8-9; Job 1:7). He is always at work in this world to destroy both the believing and unbelieving (1 Peter 5:8-9), again only faith and obedience in Christ alone gives us victory against his war for our souls (James 4:7). He is in the world not to make life easy for the human race, but to kill and destroy us (John 10:10), which reflects the current situation in the world today (Romans 1:20-32) He is a master deceiver and skillful in spreading lies and divisions between God and man (Genesis 3:1-5; Revelation 12:9).

Furthermore, Satan claims victory over those he controls and the end result is death (John 8:44-45; Ephesians 2:2; Romans 6:23). The ways of this world are sinfulness and the gratification of our carnal nature (Galatians 5:19-21; Romans 8:6-7). As it is, victory over Satan and sin is only through Christ Jesus, by faith in His redemptive work (Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 John 4:4; Revelation 12:11). We can only be more than conquerors if we don’t follow the ways of the world, which the above Scriptures declare as chasing after fleshly desires (Romans 8:37). Brethren, though some of our labour here is for the flesh, are we using the things here to control us or are we also working for The Lord and giving Him the glory (Luke 19:13-26)?

Remember, Satan operates through the spirit of lust, greed, selfishness and hatred, leading people in opposition to one another. To prove this, just read today’s sports headlines and business ads, "We are the best! We have more". Frankly, this is worldliness at best and this same spirit has made its way into the church. Christians and churches are now divided and are at war with one another for money and souls in order to attract more people and attention to themselves (1 Corinthians 3:1-4). This is not Christ’s way and command to the Church. His will is to unify and build the body up in perfect love and fruitful labour for the glory of God (Ephesians 4:13; 2 Corinthians 2:14-18).

Are You Friends With the World?

Broadly speaking, friendship with the world involves following the ways of the world through a continuous appetite for more and more worldly things (1 John 2:15-16). In addition, Christians have become very comfortable with many worldly activities and some of these activities are being celebrated in the Church today. In these celebrations, the Church practices being seen as ‘seasonal’, using relevant Scriptures to highlight such events. The point is: do such events promote obedience to Christ Jesus, or do they make the Church conform to the world and become relevant to the overall goal of the world leaders?

Like we shared in a previous article, the Lord considers every wrong thing we do as worldliness. Biblically, wrong things involves all things that goes against the Scriptures (James 4:17). Therefore, worldliness is anything that encourages us away from the Lord and leads us into some form of idolatry and habitual sinful desires (Colossians 3:5; 1 Peter 4:3).

We will consider some corrections on worldly behaviour from the Lord to us as a ministry and to others. Some few years ago, I was due to attend a meeting with my former pastor, so we asked the Lord what message I should take with me to the pastor. The Lord said that I should tell the pastor what things are permitted in the church and what should not be permitted. The Lord was referring to some incidents of worldly dancing and worldly music that were being performed in the church. There were also some plays that highlighted violence, drugs, and sexual lust. These scenes are all worldly and increase the appetite of the flesh.

While we understand that this message is intended to warn us against such behaviour, involving the perceptive senses to hear and visualize such events also brings desire. As it is, we make our message acceptable to the youth by depicting real life situations, when they already see all that on television and movies. Furthermore, worldly events like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Spring Day, Halloween, etc. are all designed to take attention from Christ and the cross, but bring focus to the celebration and idolizing of nature and persons. This also applies to worldly excursions, vacations to worldly places and beaches, or cruises which promote lust. Oftentimes, Christians who go on these journeys or vacations have little to no time for Bible reading and prayers. It ends up being a vacation from the Lord, while the Bible says that we should meditate on the Word day and night (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:2; Psalm 119:97) and “Pray without Ceasing” ( 1 Thessalonians 5:17). I challenge every Christian: how do these events bring glory to Christ? And how do they benefit you spiritually to stop sinning? You might say that it draws attention to our church or message; yes it does, but was Jesus Christ really seen and glorified in this? (Matthew 5:14-16).

Worldliness in the Church

Moreover, there are many pastors who don’t find it worldly to sing worldly songs from the pulpit, or worldly songs masked as Christian songs. Not only are they doing that to become popular especially with the younger generation, but they also encourage their church members that it is not wrong and that such music does not interfere with our salvation. In truth, it does interfere with our salvation; anything that gives pleasure to the sinful nature is not from faith, and it is therefore sin (Romans 14:23). The God of the Bible, the One speaking to us, has warned several Christians against listening to worldly music, watching secular television and movies, and attending ungodly parties, indicating that doing these activities is being worldly. Surely, you know these appeal to the senses, leading to desire; this is an indulgence to the gratification of the flesh, isn't it? In this, does it show the nature of Christ in us or does it encouragement us to sin, for desire leads to fulfillment?

Finally, leading a worldly lifestyle is not acceptable to God. I have heard many pastors sharing dreams of luxury cars, magnificent buildings, and other worldly things this they believe will draw people to God because people will see how God has blessed them and "prospered" them, so they can desire the same things. Their sermons often manipulate Scripture to only focus on what "itching" ears want to hear (2 Timothy 4:3), such as God's "blessings" and "grace" for us to just live happy here on earth and have the best life here (John 16:33); they rarely mention living holy (1 Peter 1:13-16), Christ's soon return (Revelation 22:12), or God's judgment (2 Corinthians 5:10). This clearly portrays God wrongly! God's message of holy living and obedience is being exchanged for worldly things to show off; we cannot serve both God and material wealth (Matthew 6:24). While it is good to show how God blessed us with things, it should never be the motive to draw us to Him. This is exactly the ‘bait’ that the prosperity teachers are using (1 Timothy 6:10). They are pulling the masses to gain fame and enrich themselves through the tithes and offerings, all these being done at the expense of their member's salvation!

In conclusion, being friends with the world is accepting Satan as your ruler and father. If we make friends with people to just socialize with them on worldly terms, and not to fellowship in Christ, our union with them is benefiting our (and their) sensual needs for the "feeling good" of our nature like lust or desire. In Christ, however, we feed on what builds us up in Him (Philippians 4:8; Colossians 3:1-2; John 14:15) in our daily quest to crucify the sinful nature. Choose your friends for the good of the gospel and their salvation.

So, have you been focusing on being friends with the world, or would you like to be a true friend of Jesus Christ? If you desire to be friends with The Lord, please pray this Prayer of Sincere Repentance to get you started in this beautiful journey. Beginning A New Life In Christ

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Brethren, this message, like all the messages we have shared previously, is from our Lord Jesus Christ Himself. During the past four years that the Lord has been speaking to us, He has taken a personal interest in our walk with Him through the various messages of encouragement and correction. Many brethren around the world who have heard the Lord for themselves can attest to this truth. Equally, there are many who have heard the Lord for themselves, but through a lack of faith and an appetite for wrong doing some have wandered from the Lord.

In utter disbelief, I have witnessed people ignoring the Lord’s warnings and doubting the very message that is Biblical in every way. Of the many who heard from the Lord, none can say they were led into wrongdoing. A truthful witness sides with the truth and disregards his own position or feelings on matters affecting his walk with God. If we love the truth, our reputation or integrity has no value; what matters is our fear for God.

Before our new life in Christ through conversion (Romans 10:9-10; John 3:3; Acts 16:31), we lived our lives without regard for God and His Word. In our old lives, we lived to only please others and ourselves, and we also approved the way others lived so that our way of life would also carry their approval. In Christ, however, and through the born-again experience, we are encouraged “like newborn babies, to crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation” (1 Peter 2:2 NIV). The Lord told us that salvation through Him leading to eternal life is very important, and that we should, “make every effort to enter through the narrow door…” (Luke 13:24). In our obedience to Him, the Lord said we should consider our lives in this world less important, for His sake and the gospel’s sake (Mark 10:29-30). The gospel is not just the preaching of the Word, but the outward witness through holy living of a grateful heart.

Furthermore, we express our appreciation to God for the gift of salvation through our obedience to Him by leading our lives to please Him (Romans 12:1-2; 1 John 3:9) and bear good fruit (Matthew 13:23). When we live in obedience to the Lord, we are living our lives for His good pleasure; we are dead to sin and the pleasures of this world (Romans 6:1-2; 1 John 2:15). This is the new life in Christ!  I am testifying the truth in Christ Jesus; the Lord said many people after giving their lives to Him start faithfully and when tests come they live double lives (Matthew 13:18-22). This He said is like an athlete who competes in a race and does not complete the race (Galatians 5:7). He said He has no reward for Christians living double lives, but Judgment (James 1:6-8). Let us therefore live for God in such a way that when we near the end of our lives, we can confidently declare like Paul, that we have completed the race (2 Timothy 4:7-8). In Scripture we read how Paul lived and surely it is worth following his example and way of life (1 Corinthians 11:1).

In addition, in his zeal for Christ and not living a double life, Paul encouraged the Thessalonian Christians how he lived in Christ among them and that they do likewise (1 Thessalonians 1:5). Brethren, this is no new message but a reminder to us to live our lives worthy of Christ Jesus (Ephesians 4:20-25).

The Lord’s Way

I have already given testimonies on how the Lord corrected us in regard to disobedience. I can truthfully testify that the Lord is very displeased when we deliberately disobey Him. It is like a son who despises his father’s instructions. He commands us to obey Him even at the expense of our lives (Matthew 10:37-39). Furthermore, most of the things the Lord corrects us on concern our inner attitudes, which even when someone insists on living by the ten (10) commandments would still fall short on. There is hatred, swearing, gossip, slandering and gluttony, just to mention but a few, which makes us fall short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23). The sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit produces the fruit of holy living.

Therefore, as we confess our sins, we acknowledge our shortcomings and express our desire to live in obedience to the Lord. Our confession is an expression of faith when we apply our lives to the Scriptures (James 1:22).  In a vision recently, a man known to us who had faith in Christ but lived a double life died in a car accident. The Lord showed that his life of faith without works of obedience did not save him.

In the vision, Charis was made to understand what he was thinking. He was thinking about a message he heard me preach and he longed for that moment. I preached saying, "Don’t allow death to catch you by surprise!" His eyes were small and filled with regret, with sadness on his face as she heard the words by a witness saying, “I feel very sorry for that young man”. The message is clear; he did not make it to Heaven.

Once we accept the Lord Jesus as Savior, the Lord expects us to walk daily in the New Life.  Last month, a sister who accepted the Lord and joined our ministry about 9 months ago, was "suspended" by the Lord from ministering with us for six months because she did not walk faithfully after having been warned by the Lord to stop her wickedness. She was secretly smoking without us knowing until the Lord showed us in a vision. When we asked her, she admitted and gave glory to God. She is not allowed to minister in the Word like witnessing and praying in the corporate intercessory prayers. She is, however, attending regular weekly services and she must continue reading her bible and praying. The Lord said that those involved in sexual sins like adultery or fornication should not serve at the altar, that is why He made an example of this sister. Her suspension is a punishment and the purpose is to deter others while maintaining the purity of the ministry. We share this to tell you that the Lord wants us to walk purely before Him; He is coming back for a spotless bride (Ephesians 5:25-27).

In conclusion, I beseech you brothers and sisters: please take your salvation serious by living to obey the Lord daily. He expects us through this new life to read our Bibles daily and pray often (daily, about 3 times) (Daniel 6:10; Psalm 55:17; Thessalonians 5:17). Surely, Bible reading changes our attitudes and behavior. The conviction coming from the Holy Spirit through Bible reading leads us to obedience provided we submit to God. If there are some of us still living a double life and when we know we ought not to live our lives in Christ like that, there is a chance to make right with the Lord. Today is that chance, so please repent now (Hebrews 3:14-15; Hebrews 4:6-7)! Follow Christ Jesus daily and be about the Lord’s business every day. If not, the devil has the world and its pleasures to keep you occupied. Be therefore in the WORD business, the SOUL winning business and the OBEDIENT living business. By that we live a Christ-centered life.

Blessed Peace in New Life,
Brother Glenn.

The Gospel Be Readily Preached Anytime

Let us Preach the Word

“Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction” (2 Timothy 4:2 NIV).

The Lord gave me this message to remind the brethren that we still have an obligation to preach the Word. Our encouragement to you in this message is just to awaken the sleeping witness. I know this is not a very popular message especially for the lazy and excuse prone Christian. Briefly, about a few years ago, a brother came to me reporting that a certain man’s daughter died and they were looking for a preacher to preach the gospel during one of their weekday services. I at first ignored the brother’s request, but the following morning, Lord gave me a message that I should go and never hesitate to respond to an invitation when an opportunity arises to preach the gospel. Equally, please take note of this warning from the Lord.

If there are some preachers or anybody out there who discourages others from witnessing, he or she will be answerable to the Lord. Let me share an experience, A very popular Christian sister who claimed to have been an end-time prophet of the Lord was rebuked for lying in Jesus’ name by telling a brother that the Lord said; he had witnessed enough and that he should just wait for the Lord. The statement by this particular sister greatly displeased the Lord because the brother refused to accept the Lord’s rebuke and obey Him. As a result of the Lord’s rebuke, the brother’s attitude changed by behaving contrary to Christian values of love and brotherly kindness. We would like to emphasize, and unlike other professions; Christianity is not a profession (Being Christian and our duties) that we can retire from unless our lives are interrupted by death. The Lord has granted none of us ‘special leave’ not to minister the gospel (Matthew 28:20; 1 Corinthians 9:16). In a conversation I recently had with a Christian brother, I asked him if he had any desire to enter into the ministry later on in his life and he answered no. Upon further inquiry, he revealed that he simply don’t have the heart to be in ministry except to play a supportive role.

Sadly though, this is the attitude of many Christians; they are just happy to serve in the background and consider it their contribution to the body while being afraid to witness. I concur, operating in a support ministry is helpful but would we just hide behind it not to share the gospel? This is the unfortunate state of the Church system. It produces infants in Christ who hears the word year and year out. They produce faithful church attendees but faithless and fruitless witnesses of Christ. The Apostle Paul said he was duty bound to preach the word (1 Corinthians 9:16). Scripturally, we know that the dissemination of the gospel has a noble purpose, to save the lost, to heal the broken-hearted and to deliver the demonically oppressed (Luke 4:18-19). Of all those who followed the Lord during His walk on the earth, He sent out everybody (Luke 10:1). To demonstrate the power of the gospel, the disciples reported how the demons submitted to the Word of life (Luke 10:17). In the absence of the Word of God, imagine the devastating effects of sin which is a weapon of Satan to destroy human (2 Thessalonians 2:7-8) society, and the wickedness the evil forces of darkness would wield in the world (1 Peter 5:8). In our articles, ‘Blaming God when bad things happen I  and II’ we reported the main sources of evil in the world which is Satan and the curse as a result of sin.

Rejection of the Word Brings Judgment

To many worldly-minded people, the world is a good place to be. The world, being the ‘lost paradise of pleasure’ (Matthew 4:8) is a place of great liberty to choose and sin at will. Therefore, because sin yields destructive consequences, God in His eternal love sends forth messengers to warn the sinners and call them to repentance so that He may avert judgment (Jeremiah 26:12-13). Furthermore, the ancient world (Noah’s generation) and Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed as a result of the people’s great wickedness (Genesis 6:5; 18:20; 19:24-25). The Ninevites, wisely responded to the call to repent and so escaped judgment (Jonah 3:1-10).

The importance of Christ’s Sacrifice

The Scriptures declares, “We know that we are children of God and that all the rest of the world around us is under Satan’s power and control (1 John 5:19 TLB). For our victory against the Bible says“…The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the Devil's works” (1 John 3:8). By accepting by faith this great deliverance, we reject the pleasures of sin and the control of the evil one. The devil, our common enemy, uses the pleasures of this world as bait in exchange for our souls (Matthew 4:4; 1 John 2:15), and this is the unfortunate situation which led many Christians astray and in the enemies camp (See a vision of Black and White figures).

In conclusion, we know that many Christians are not keen to witness and they turn a blind eye to messages of this nature. They feel these messages have no impact in their lives, but they are wrong. Apart from the fruits of the Holy Spirit which are Christ-like virtues, the fruits the Lord talks about are fruits that have produced a harvest through obedient labor in the harvest field (Matthew 13:19-23). Those who are afraid and ashamed to witness does not have the things of the Lord at heart, instead of their personal opinions of how others might perceive them matters. Often, Christians are afraid of being persecuted, and many of us who labor in the harvest field face these persecutions daily, and amongst other things, these are the genuine scares of the cross. If these reluctant Christians were concerned about the Lord, souls would be their motivation. A very dear brother and friend to this ministry asked us to enquire of the Lord for him if he could do witnessing work alone. The Lord gave a solemn reply saying, My son P must keep on doing work for My sake and I love My son P." Besides this brother, many others received similar encouragement from the Lord, but they ignored it.

As a witness, this message has not fallen on deaf ears; this brother goes out as a lone witness spreading the word of God without complaining. The Lord will duly reward such man, and they are compared to trees which bear fruit in and out of season (Jeremiah 17:7-8).

Brethren, since we are eagerly waiting for the Day of the Lord, let us not forget, the end will not come until we have reached everyone with the gospel (Matthew 24:14).

We would like to extend an invitation to anyone who does not know the Lord Jesus Christ yet, or of you are not born again, to pray our suggested prayer on this link Prayer of Sincere Repentance
by faith and follow the Lord (Matthew 4:19). You may also contact us for any questions or comments about this article or our ministry.

Tithing According To The Lord Jesus

Giving Originated with God

I have decided to rewrite our article on Giving which is essentially a teaching about tithing. Over the years, we received email request from some believers who were confused regarding giving given to the conflicting message they heard. In this work however, we have attempted to answer some of those questions biblically while we incorporated some of the rebukes and teachings we received from the Lord. This work might not be exhaustive, but it touches the fundamental biblical teachings on Christian giving.

Now the Lord Jesus Christ says: “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35 NIV). Giving is fundamentally a human experience and people everywhere practice giving as a way of life. This we do for self-sustenance and posterity. Generally, we learned that the entire ecosystem is arranged on an interdependent basis. In other words, the survival of some species are dependent on the survival of others. Thus, the act of giving and receiving is well entrenched in all of nature. God, being the Ultimate Cause has ordained this arrangement in all natural life. Humans, as rational beings has capacity to craft their own rules are not excluded from God's order of things. For Christians however, the rules to give and share are well versed in the Holy Bible. Let us therefore examine giving from a Biblical point of view. As we progress with our discussion we will discover that some people give for various reasons. Some give for self-honour, (Matthew 6:2-4) others give for gain, (Luke 6:35) while others give to meet a need, (2 Corinthians 8:14).

Biblically, God is portrayed as the Giver of all life and everything needed to give substance to it (Genesis 1:11). As Supreme Ruler and Creator, it was for His own Good pleasure that He ordained the cycle of giving for the perpetual sustenance of all earthly life (Genesis 8:22). Being God and above all things, He gives continuality to everything (Colossians 1:17). Therefore, there is absolutely nothing we as humans can give to God, except our lives as a praise and thanksgiving offering (Hebrews 13:15; 1 Thessalonians 5:18). He is the Sustainer and Giver of everything, “For in Him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28; Romans 11:35).” The command, “I GIVE you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground-everything that has the breath of life in it- I GIVE every green plant for food” shows human and animal dependence on God for provision (Genesis 1:29-30). When God said “be fruitful and increase” He set forth procreation through the order of interdependent giving (Genesis 8:17b NIV). The preceding scriptures clearly indicates to us that God instituted giving through dependence on Him. And in His eternal Wisdom, God provided His Word to guide human society, and knowing that people are not like God who is all-sufficient, He instituted giving and different abilities for the overall benefit of the human race. Therefore, the principle of giving has been made painless and pleasantly through the various appetites and incentives God endowed in all life. What I mean is this, plants for example would only produce fruit or seeds (give) because of their appetite for soil, water and sunlight. Also, human appetite to eat is motivated hunger, smell and taste.

Giving to Others to Honour God

Let me stress from the onset, we do not oppose or disapprove giving to the Church, but often we hear sermons on giving, and sadly such giving is solely aimed at filling the coffers of the church. Like we alluded in the love of money article, some greedy ministers discourages some believers to give towards God's work outside their ministry. The New Testament model of giving was for the elevation of  poverty amongst believers (Acts 4:32-35; Luke 3:11). In other words, the money the brethren collected were for the needy.  The Old Testament believers were commanded to tithe and to give towards God’s work (Numbers 7-9) they were however also commanded to give to the poor in various ways (Deuteronomy 24:20) including when people come asking for help (James 2: 14- 16).

These commands were given to individual believers, and God, being the Judge of all, will ‘give to each person according to what he has done’ (Romans 2:6 NIV). “He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward him for what he has done” (Proverbs 19:17). Without going into details that contributed to poverty in society, the poor in society serves to display God’s grace and caring love (John 9:3; Romans 9:22). The poor also serves as a test to believers (Matthew 26:11; Galatians 6:9-10). Selfless service to God and people is best presented by our Lord Jesus Christ when He said: “For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger, and you invited Me in. I needed clothes, and you clothed Me, I was sick, and you looked after Me. I was in prison, and you came to visit Me” (Matthew 25:35-36 NIV). Therefore, in terms of giving, the church and the individual Christian believer are God’s gift to the needy of the world

Giving to the Church to Keep the Lights On

Church Giving: The Bible teaches us to give for the needs of the ministry (1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 9:7). This kind of giving helps the local church pay whatever bills it might have in its administration of Church work. Additionally, using Church money to maintain expensive buildings and infrastructure while there are needy people in the Church is anti-Christian and immoral (Matthew 25:35-36; James 2:14). This brings us to the question, is it wrong to give (rather then paying since giving should be from the heart 2 Corinthians 9:7) tithes and offerings according to Malachi 3:8-11? Answer No! I am not going to enter into a war of words over this form of giving. If it promotes the work of God to feed the poor and it serves to spread the gospel, please continue tithing it is a giving intended to honor the Lord.

Briefly, in the beginning of our ministry and before we started accepting contributions from any of our members, my wife and I paid for the ministry needs like transport costs, tracts for evangelism work out of our own measly income while we were still tithing at our previous church. We continued with this practice for several months until we asked the Lord, since we have a ministry, could we use our tithes to fund our work instead of continuing to give to our Church. The Lord gave us permission to use the tithes for His work. You will notice that we only discontinued giving after the Lord's word because our giving was to honor God. The Lord told us that giving in His name is a sacred act and no one should despise giving (Mark 12:44). We have had people writing to us inquiring how and where they should direct their giving, and the Lord does not dictate to Christians how and where to give. In our situation, the Lord identified our needs and directed brethren accordingly. It is unbiblical to claim that a believer must only give to their Church of attendance while ignoring the needs of other ministries and the poor in society. The Bible addresses individuals when it speaks on giving, hence the emphasis "EACH of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 9:7)

Therefore, what the Lord looks at is the motive or spirit in our giving, whether it is to help the needy, honor God, to control others, or is it to bring attention to oneself.  At the beginning of this ministry, some of our members expressed interest in giving towards our work, and we again asked the Lord through Charis if we should collect tithes. The Lord answered and said that the members may give a contribution to the ministry. He did not emphasize tithing because the Lord knows what tithing is from an Old Testament perspective. Generally, tithing in the Old Testament was a command and often some of the tithes were consumed by the same people who gave (Deuteronomy 14:23). Some tithing was for the priest (Numbers 18: 20-21), and while other forms of tithing were reserved for the needy foreigners, orphans, and widows amongst the Israelites (Deuteronomy 14:28-29). Therefore, if these three forms of tithing were combined, it could be well over 10%. Now, am I saying tithing was instituted in the New Testament? No! The New Testament emphasizes a voluntary giving from the heart, which might be more or less than an actual tithe, which is 10% of total gross income (1 Corinthians 16:2; 2 Corinthians 9:7).

Furthermore, the Old Testament testifies how God opened the hearts of the Israelites and gave them a command through Moses to give towards the work of God (Exodus 35: 4-29). We would recall that the ministry of Moses and Aaron was limited to the Israelites; this was not a worldwide ministry. The covenant was given for the spiritual needs of the Israelites as God’s chosen people (Deuteronomy 7:6). As we know, their obedience to God's law was for their good (Deuteronomy 5:33; Joshua 1:8). Likewise, the Christian ministry is serving the spiritual interest of the body and not just the needs of the local body as some insists, Paul and the apostles encouraged gifts to be collected for the needy believers and ministries elsewhere so that ‘there should be no poor among you…..’(Deuteronomy 15:4; Galatians 2:10; 1 Corinthians 16:1). Contextually, Old Testament tithing was conducted quite differently than today. Thus, this practice in my opinion, was never intended for the church. (Deuteronomy 12:17-19;14:22-23; 14:24-26) And like I allude elsewhere, the Lord confirmed with us that believers are to make contributions, meaning voluntary giving from the heart.

Testimonies and Teachings on Giving from the Lord Jesus

I am going to share a few testimonies and actual words the Lord gave many of us on giving. Let me be clear from the onset, some people might think just because they are tithing or contributing large amounts of monies to their Church this will make the Lord overlook their mistakes or disobedience, giving to God for ministry work, the needy or for the ministers of the word is one aspect or area of ministry. The people in the Old Testament gave not just to obey a command, but because the priest ministered before God for their good (Deuteronomy 17:12). Giving as seen through the life and walk of Christ Jesus is an attitude and a service to God from the heart (Ephesians 4:28).

A few years ago, a faithful Christian brother once told me how some Christian brethren ignored his hardships. Not only did they ignore the plight of their needy brother, but some even increased their sins by gossiping about the want of their weaker brother in Christ. As long as a brother or sister is doing and continuing His calling in the work of God, there is no need to ignore his or her service in the body by discontinuing giving. The question you should ask yourself is, is your giving to God or is it driven by your own feelings? The gifts and callings of God have an eternal nature, and while the work of the Lord is continuing, not just for your benefit but for God's glory, why discontinue giving so that the gospel message may save souls.

Is it a Good idea to Give to Those Who Have?

“The man with two tunics should share with him who has none, and the one who has food should do the same” (Luke 3: 11). This is an extremely hard truth and we all fail and fall short on this scripture. Let me share a brief testimony, one sister received repeatedly the same message from the Lord over many days as being ‘greedy and selfish’, and this made her feel very uncomfortable and worried because she was essentially a giving person; however after we carefully examined her giving pattern, we noticed that she was giving but to those who have with the view of being 'credited'. In other words, her giving was one of being seen. Since she received praise, her giving did not issue from a Godly motive but for self-elevation. Her giving was to please man instead of God. After prayer, the Lord revealed to us that when we give, we should give to those who don’t have and are unable to return the favour, and such giving is praiseworthy and not a reciprocal giving (Luke 14:12). We should give with discretion and from the heart, cheerfully and the Apostle Paul encouraged. Thus, if you feel oppressed in giving, this is not from God, but guilt. Giving from the heart is peaceful and without compulsion. This giving would normally dominate reason and your reward is peace. I am going to share a testimony about a brother who sinned by envying the Lord’s money.

We had a brother whom we led to the Lord, and subsequently he fellowshipped with us for more than a year. Currently, he is still running a very small business of his own, while his wife is working. He approached us and suggested to that we use some of our ministry’s contributions to buy food parcels for him because he wanted to save his own income for his business. I ignored his request at first and thought to myself that this was not right. He became insistent, and I told him that we would ask the Lord if we should do that. The reply we received from the Lord was shocking. He rebuked this brother, saying that he was greedy and selfish and for that, the Lord expelled him from our intercessory prayers and witnessing team. Why? Like we said above, contributions to the Lord are sacred and should not be used for selfish and greedy purposes. We can remember that not everybody were allowed to eat of the Lord's tithe to Aaron and his sons (Leviticus 22:1-3).

Concluding Encouragement

Finally, Brethren, do not be deceived by the prosperity teaching; it is demonic and driven by greedy and selfish ministers who promote worldliness and self-enrichment. They use the Scriptures of promises God made to the faithful and obedient believers to catch you. The Lord revealed to us that they feed the people the dessert (a usually sweet course or dish (as of pastry or ice cream) usually served at the end of a meal) of the Word, which are God's promises to enrich themselves and they fail to teach righteousness, purity, holiness, and obedience.

In conclusion, the Bible lays the whole truth bare, so please read it and trust its message. Apply its message by faith and honesty, and in truthfulness, you will see the results! In your study of God’s word, the Bible, do not just study the individual Scriptures quoted, read the entire Bible for it reveals the context of what is expected of you.

The Lord blesses you!

DENY THE DEVIL his SINFUL RIGHTS

How Samson Gave The Enemy A Foothold

“I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming and he has no hold on me(John 14:30), “and do not give the devil a foothold” (Ephesians 4: 27).

These are the words of our Lord Jesus Christ when He spoke to his disciples in John chapter 14 when the Lord was giving comfort to them and making them aware of his soon departure to be with the father in heaven.

In reference to the above scripture, we are reminded to look at the story of Samson and Delilah in the book of Judges 16, which is a well-known biblical story to many.  Samson was an anointed man as he had the spirit of God upon him and had unique strength that he could take down as many enemies as the Lord willed for his purpose at once on various occasions (1 Corinthians 15: 58).

Losing Focus And Slipping

While he continued moving in his service to the Lord, he met a woman in Gaza and fell in love with her. At this point, we noticed that his service and devotion to the Lord were affected and there was a shift and he wanted to serve the Lord and the world at the same time (Matthew 6:24). As we all know, in our walk with the Lord, especially when we are joyful to hear about the messages of His Second Coming for His Church and the excitement and anticipation for the day of the Lord; or when we experience the moments and seasons in our walk where everything is going well and we full of confidence and hope; or we have faith and know that we are eager to live in obedience to the word.

These are times when the joy of his salvation overflows as it was with Samson when he was taking down all men who came against him with the strength the Lord gave him. Meanwhile, the enemy was devising a way to have a hold over him so Satan could weaken him as Samson was full of the Spirit of God.

Furthermore, as we have learned from the story of Job Satan initially could not attack Job because there was a hedge of protection surrounding him and his household as well as his possessions (Job 1:10). From experience, we know that the road to Heaven has countless challenges and the challenges allows for our faith and obedience to be tested (Deuteronomy 8:2). As is common in human behavior, there comes a time of weakness, and in the case of Samson, when he met the woman and that distracted him and as a result, little did he know that everything was about to change in his life.

In some instances, it happens that there are doors that we tend to open in our lives that come with spiritual consequences in our walk with the Lord. Those open doors serve to distract us and move us away from the will of the Lord, and the enemy is using such to have a spiritual stronghold hold on us, which the Lord Jesus warned us against (John 14:30).

As it is, things like us falling in love with the world and its carnal things, such situations as Samson found himself involved in when he fell in love with a woman whom the enemy used to gain leverage and that opened the door for the enemy to have a hold on him (Galatians 5:13). When we allow the world to have a hold on us or where we can’t let go of the things that are contrary to the Will of God in our service to him, we enable and empower the enemy to have a hold on us (Mark 8:36). When Samson opened the door for the enemy to have a hold over him by telling his secret about the source of his strength, it allowed and enabled the enemy to strip everything the Lord had blessed him with. Not only did he lose strength, but his vision was impaired as a result of his losing his eyes (Judges 16-21, Romans 6:13).

Similarly, this is the intention of the enemy not only to make us cease serving the Lord or walking in obedience but to rob us of the vision of the church. Where will the body of Christ be heading when we lose the vision of soul-winning and obedience to the Lord if we pursue worldly things? Scripture reminds us that we need to fix our eyes on the heavenly things above (Colossians 3: 1-2).

Seeking The Lord's Favor

Therefore, the vision we may have lost could be our love for the Lord and for one another, our passion and devotion for spending time with the Lord in prayer and the studying of the word with zeal and not as a routine. In addition, our love for witnessing and being a living testimony draws people to Christ (Matthew 6:33).

Moreover, when the enemy succeeded in subduing Samson and stripped him of everything he held dearly in his service to the Lord, he came to the realization that the door he has opened had cost him in humility he looked to the Lord as his pillar (Judges 16: 26). He repented and prayed for restoration not only to regain his strength and gift but to give himself as a living sacrifice and to allow for the glory of God to shine through and by that he took out more Philistines than his time when he was alive and before he lost his position of power (Judges 16: 28-30). It is noteworthy, that no matter how great our walk with God is, He brings us down in humility to show us our dependence on Him (Proverbs 3:5-6).

In conclusion, we see that the Lord Jesus is teaching us that the way to overcome the ruler of this world is to ensure that we have nothing in common with Satan and that he should have no hold on us. (Romans 12:21). It is possible with the Holy Spirit to overcome our weaknesses and the devil’s schemes and the Lord is always willing and He is there to help us through (John 16:33). People have different things that they go through that may serve as weaknesses to the enemy to take advantage of, David stated something that when he kept silent about his sin and weaknesses his bones wasted away and the pressure never let up until he spoke up and let it all out about his failures to the Lord. (Psalm 32: 2-5).

Repentance Brings Restoration

Now, in the end, Samson returned to his position by repenting and praying to the Lord for restoration. The Lord answered his prayer as the motive of Samson’s heart was in the right place and sought not only to regain strength but to complete the mission to take out the enemies of the Lord as he was called for (Judges 16: 22; 30). Therefore, it is imperative that we acknowledge our weaknesses, fears, transgressions, and sin can afford us freedom from oppression, torment, and inflictions or calamity, this is not limited to confession but to a completely repented heart that seeks his love and perfect Will (Colossians 3:5-10 & Romans 12:2).

Why A Prayer Request Shouldn't Be Delegated

 Pray When Being Led To

But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers”(Luke 22:32 NIV).

UPDATE ON MAN OF PEACE ARTICLE: Brethren, I sought the face of the LORD and will continue to do so since I promised in our previous article. The Lord said, "You need to continue praying very hard, and I will answer you at the appointed time".

We therefore encourage you to be patient and join us in prayer daily (2 Thessalonians 3:11), as we all know this is for the good of the body of Christ, and a message of great importance.

Back to our message for today, a few months ago, one of my daughters, after visiting a friend, came back home and reported to us that her friend is gravely ill and that I should pray for her friend. After inquiring about her friend's condition, I committed to praying for her.

However, a few days later, the Lord Himself gave her a reply in a message to me, saying, "Jessica (not real name) should not ask others to pray for her friend, I have also anointed her to lay hands and pray for the sick" (Mark 16:17-18).

After receiving this message, I clearly understood what the Lord meant. As it was, my daughter was in the presence of her cancer-stricken friend, and she felt the urge and conviction to pray, but she doubted the effectiveness of her own prayers while putting trust in my prayers. Therefore, she clearly lacked faith and simultaneously trusted my prayers rather than the Lord, who can answer her prayers.

Obey The Urging Of The Lord's Conviction

Furthermore, brethren, we need to realise that the Bible carries a personal message to each individual believer, and the Lord Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, gives us the ability and uses us when we avail ourselves. In addition, I know a brother in Christ who began his ministry by handing out tracts in the streets. As a result, the Lord blessed him with a worldwide ministry because of his humility and love for souls. Similarly, we learn from the Scriptures that Apollos was just an ordinary believer who had limited knowledge of the Scriptures; however,  after being taught by Aquila and Priscilla, he went on to preach the gospel in the fire of the Holy Spirit (Acts 18:24-28). Therefore, don't hold back your conviction, ACT, and by so doing, you are not sinning but acting in obedience.

In conclusion, the Bible says anything we do without faith is a sin (Romans 14:23). In other words, when we have the conviction and fail to act accordingly, we are ignoring the Holy Spirit. I know of countless Christians who are still waiting on the Lord for Ministry guidance because they want to receive some audible instruction or some vision before acting. I have advice for them, if they remain idle like the foolish virgins or the man who hid the talent away (Matthew 25:1-13; 14-30), they will be required to give an account and end up not making it into the Kingdom, but risk being thrown into the darkness. Let us act by faith and our conviction in obedience to Christ our Lord.

Blessed Grace

The Man Of Peace

Who Is The Man Of Sin?

"Through his craft and by his hand, he will cause deceit to prosper, and in his own mind he will make himself great. In a time of peace, he will destroy many, and he will even stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power" (Daniel 8:25 NIV).

Brethren, I've been wanting to write on this subject for the last few years; however, I was praying while waiting for an answer from the Lord. Also, please consider a few follow-up messages on this subject, as the Lord provides guidance and interpretations.

As we all know, this is not a topic that is interpreted by man; the true meaning of prophetic revelations comes from the Lord (2 Peter 1:20-21). Therefore, a message as important as this will not be based on speculative ideas but on factual truths, guided by the Lord.

In this article, however, be brief. I've searched online about his traits, and we will not be writing about it as it is well-summarized on Google and other search engines. The Lord revealed his identity to me back in 2018 or 2019, and I have since kept it a secret. I only shared it with my family and a dear Brother who is very close to us.

In conclusion, as the Lord pleases, kindly join us in the coming weeks as we unpack the end-time prophetic message to clear confusion while preparing the body for the coming of the KING!

Blessed Regards

Brother Glenn

Is Cigarette Smoking Sinful?

 Stop Smoking Believers

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV).

Brethren, there is a great deal of confusion amongst Christians regarding cigarette smoking, vaping, or any kind of smoking. Since there are various and conflicting views among Christians on the biblical correctness of this social ill, we pray that this article will bring deliverance and salvation to smokers.

Being a former smoker myself, I am familiar with the smoke craving, and I have a testimony too on how I received my deliverance from smoking from our Lord Jesus Christ. In this article, I will also share some visions that we previously posted, but for the benefit of our new readers, we will briefly share them again.

After I recommitted my life to the Lord back in January 2008, I had a personal struggle with cigarette smoking, and this went on for a full two years. During that time, every time I lit up a cigarette, I was guilt-stricken, feeling the conviction of the Holy Spirit (1 Samuel 24:3-7). This led me to pray every time after smoking for my deliverance. If I may mention, I  did not smoke in public for fear of causing others to stumble (Romans 14:13).

Breakthrough From Smoking

During the second week of January 2008, our former pastor announced a one-week fast for the entire congregation, and I seized the opportunity to bring my smoking habit before the Lord. Because I was on a fast, I did not touch a cigarette, and by the third day of fasting, I was delivered from smoking on the 24th of January 2010. On January 25, 2010, the Lord Jesus Christ began visiting us and sharing messages and mighty visions, which we have generously and obediently shared online, and continue to do so.

Back then, the Lord Jesus told me that He was not very pleased that I was smoking cigarettes and that my body was the temple of God's Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and my smoking was stifling the work of God in my life. In return, I truly thanked Him daily for my deliverance, and to me, it was a huge burden that I was saved from, and what a pleasant relief it was. It's now been 16 years later, and I've regained my health and most of all my relationship with the God of my salvation.

Visions About Smokers

In the year 2013, a well-known Pastor, Chris Oyakhilome, preached and said that smoking is not a sin because it is not in the Bible, even encouraging smokers to challenge those who insist that smoking is a sin to show scripture. As it was, we were not aware of his message that smoking was not a sin; in fact, we only became aware of it after the Lord gave Charis a message rebuking Pastor Chris for saying that smoking was not a sin. It was then that we listened to some of Pastor Chris's preaching on the topic.

Furthermore, not long thereafter, the Lord gave a message through Charis for her grandmother (my wife's mother) to stop smoking. After giving her a few days to obey the Lord's Word, she continued smoking, which then led the Lord to reveal to Charis in a vision what would happen to her grandmother if she didn't stop smoking.

In the vision from the Lord, He showed her two large and powerful demons holding up a thick and large cigarette to her grandmother's mouth, being forced to smoke the cigarette against her will. She tried pushing it away from her to no avail, given the strength of those demons.

In another vision, the Lord showed Charis my (Brother Glenn) mother's last words before passing away, asking my stepfather not to forget to buy her smokes for the following day. During that experience, Charis recalled that it was as if it were my mother's final wish. Sadly, a few years later, my mother passed away.

This is how it happened: my mother requested my sister and some of my nephews to give her a last cigarette to smoke, and they obliged (against my advice and in my absence), which caused her to cough uncontrollably. Regretfully, the following morning, they reported that my mother became silent after that cigarette, and she never woke up.

In conclusion, a few weeks after my mother's funeral, I (Brother Glenn) had a vision that my mother was in outer darkness (Matthew 8:12). While it uncomfortable to give testimony about our own parents, there is really nothing we can do to undo their situation, the Lord gives this message to save those still have an opportunity to stop smoking, repent and follow the ways of the Lord.

Blessed Peace and Grace to you all

Brother Glenn
