Keeping Record Of Evil

Recording Of Offences Breaths Hatred

“…it keeps no record of wrongs” (1 Corinthians 13:1).

A few months ago, a mechanic and his assistant (they were both familiar with the gentleman) who worked on our vehicle (Van) shared with us an experience they had with someone who literally kept a record of evil. In other words, this particular person recorded in a book every kind of wrongs. Without exhausting his lists but such wrongs included if you failed to greet him you will be remembered for that and if you made a promise or owe him you will be remembered for that.

Additionally, the gentleman’s hatred continues even if the person who offended him has died. It is believed he was in the habit of telling those close to him that person died without making right with him. According to those close to him, it was even an offence to him if you greet being a stranger to him. Now, without elaborating further he was barely 50 years old when he died in great suffering and his death wish was that those who owed and offended him were not to attend his funeral. Accordingly, the pastor who presided over his funeral after reading some excerpts from his book threw it into his grave saying ‘may this book of evil follow its owner’.

Hopeless Salvation If Being Unforgiving

As it was, not even his friends escaped being recorded in his book, at first I thought this sounded unbelievably evil and untrue but those familiar with the gentleman confirmed that was how everybody knew him.

It is true; there are Christians who simply cannot forgive others they often repeat the wrong they suffered. Indeed, evil as the offence was “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly. Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their. trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses” (Matthew 6:14-15 NIV).

How often did you ever hear someone professing to be a Christian saying, ‘I have forgiven you’ but they repeat the wrong one did. Why? Because the spirit of unforgiveness has expanded into hatefulness, therefore you cannot forgive a person if you harbour hatred towards that person (1 John 2:9-11). This is a fact, there are truly born-again men and women who struggle to forgive their current or ex-spouses and they expect to be forgiven by the Lord because the offender does not deserve to be forgiven. If that is you my brother or sister you may as well forfeit following the Lord because He alone has the authority to condemn, forgive and vindicate (Romans 12:19).

A few years ago, the Lord rebuked a member of our ministry who was in the habit of reminding people about the wrong they committed against her and the Lord said she should learn to forgive and not to repeat the offence. Being a former offender myself, I have experienced the true rehabilitating and transforming power of forgiveness (1 Timothy 1:15-16). That is, if we forgive we allow the person to make amends even if they are habitual offenders, the Lord through scripture have made provision for unconditional and repeated forgiveness (Mathew 18:22) by that we allow patience and love to manifest into amazing grace (Romans 5:20).

Not To Love Is A Choice

In conclusion, being a minster of the gospel, I have heard many people saying I can’t live with this or that person (either their spouses or some friend(s) or family members) and you know why? It is because their own hateful prejudices have blinded them and they simply have no patience or love to give. Let us therefore be reminded that “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres and love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NIV) and that is the gift Christians received when we received the Lord Jesus as Saviour (Romans 5:5). If we therefore fail to love we have allowed evil to master us which deny us the opportunity of what we ought to be.

If we have lost our love for others we still have an opportunity to repent and plead with the Lord to help us listen and obey His Spirit's guidance.

Remain Faithful Unto Death

Prophetic Warnings are not News Updates

Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the fear of the LORD all the day. Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off (Proverbs 23:17-18 ESV). And, You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you (Isaiah 26:3 ESV). Also, Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life (Revelation 2:10 ESV).

Brethren, be prepared the Lord did reveal that Christians will face the coming persecution(s) when the antichrist and the false prophet is being revealed. We must therefore ready ourselves to remain strong and fearless to withstand the time of the testing of our faith. Are we saying Christians will face tribulation...YES! Be Prepared!

We would like to confidently share this conviction in the name of the Lord that Christians who rely on certain events to happen first before they take their salvation seriously will be caught unawares like the five foolish virgins (Matthew 25:3). The Lord said, there will be ‘sudden destruction’ (1 Thessalonians 5:3). Some two weeks ago, the Lord reminded me that His coming is near and what saddens Him is that certain Christians are only looking to apocalyptic world events to live temporarily obedient. The danger is, some Christians treat the Lord’s teachings which are aimed to prepare them for fruit-bearing and Christian service disrespectfully (Ephesians 4:12). Sadly, but true, some are treating prophetic websites like ours as ‘news sites.' They are only interested in ‘news’ from the Lord, and if His coming is promising according to them, they will remain in the ‘pocket, ’ but if His coming appears distant, they continue as distant followers. Undoubtedly, this is a dangerous position of hypocrisy do we really think we are smarter than God? The Lord knows that such believers have no love for Him as their action shows. If we don’t allow the Lord’s teachings to purify us and rendering us blameless, then we may suffer the consequences of the prophecy which says, “Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile”… [But] those fearing God shall become “let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy" (Revelations 22:11 NIV).

There is currently a trend amongst Christians to ‘prophecy’ end-time related events when certain things happened around the world to the excitement of many, and sadly, the non-discerning are led into confusion and faith failure (1 Timothy 1:19). When the things ‘prophesied’ failed to materialize their faith goes into a ’dormant’ stage until the next event occurs and interpreted as relating to the Coming of the Lord and those who do not guard against the times ‘awakes’ resumes their faith until the next event (Matthew 25:1-13). I sincerely pray that this message is serving as a warning to those Christians who are not taking their salvation seriously. The Lord’s prediction in the preceding scripture will find fulfillment in them.

God Cannot Be Fooled

If as Christians we maintain a double standard of living having faith but living contrary to the faith we profess, our fruit will judge the quality of our obedience to the Lord (Romans 2:6; 2 Corinthians 5:10). From our experience with the Lord, we learned that no excuse we may try to offer can ever stand up against the Lord’s judgments (Romans 2:12-15). Indeed, we may succeed in being ‘clever’ and deceiving people, but God will reveal the deceitful intentions of our hearts (Jeremiah 17:10).

Being involved in ministry work, we have seen over the years how many people expressed passionate obedience and love to the Lord, and their works were in agreement with their intentions, however, when evil thoughts and ill-feelings entered them the spirit of excuses manifest. When this happens, the pleasure of sin consumes them, and the defense to appease the conscious is excused. Therefore, in the end, we have a ‘clever’ Christian who is well-trained in the ‘art’ of deceitfulness. Let me be direct, do you think your clever manipulations will escape God’s attention? (Galatians 6:7).

We thus confidently testify that some time ago the Lord revealed to us that He looks into people’s heart's intentions and the evil that entices them into disobedience. When we embrace what He despises and use excuses to justify our behavior we sin consciously (1 Peter 2:16; Romans 1:20). Thus, the ‘bulk’ of evidence against our motivation whatever drove us to be it greed, lust, or hatred comes from the heart (Luke 6:43-45; Matthew 15:19). Thus, whichever way we may try to turn for answers to conceal our heart's intentions, the Lord righteousness we simply cannot escape (Hebrews 4:13; Proverbs 5:21). At the end who is the fool!

Overcoming Uncertainty

As humans and since we cannot tell the future, our response to things that could adversely affect us would be met with uncertainty which would trigger every kind of survival technique. Thus, our natural instinct would lead us to some defense mechanism to survive the uncertain situation. This fear in uncertainty does not have faith as a shield (Ephesians 6:16), instead of melancholy sets in and people look to sources other than the Lord for solutions. If this happened then our faith, which holds our hope has soundly deserted us. Fear drives Christians who accept solutions outside the Lord's counsel, and they are driven to create temporary solutions (Numbers 14:4). We are not talking about a genuine belief a person has when expressing his or her faith. In fact, as the above scripture suggests, if we fail to obey the Lord’s command as in the incident in the preceding verse we create a solution in our uncertainty against the will of God.

Also, fear, anxiety, and curiosity are amongst the sensations we experience when times of uncertainty strikes. Now, whichever manifest it leaves the human soul without peace, and as long as the situation endures, the feeling to rid oneself of the unwanted sensation will continue. Depending on our relationship with the Lord, if we have entrusted our wellbeing to Him our faith would conquer the fear and anxiety that flows from uncertainty.

In our concluding remarks, are we curious about the future? Are certain world events filling you with fear and anxiety? If so, examine your relationship with the Lord and respond by faith to the convictions from the Holy Spirit and you need not fear. Be consistent as a Christian in your conduct, faithful in truthful and humble service and everybody will know the love of the Lord has been perfected in you.

As always, we would like to extend an invitation to anyone who does not know the Lord Jesus Christ yet, or if you are not born again, to pray our suggested prayer on this link Prayer of Sincere Repentance by faith and follow the Lord (Matthew 4:19). The Malicious Gossip spirit

Why Christians should Not engage in Gossip

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen” (Ephesians 4:29 NIV). Also

“Whoever would foster love covers over an offense, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends” (Proverbs 17:9 NIV). Again, "A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid anyone who talks too much" (Proverbs 20:19 NIV). Also, "A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends" (Proverbs 16:28 NIV).

Division Through Gossip

In the early 1990s, I shared an apartment with about five friends who were born again. Since we were all Christians, it was not hard to get along. Our love for the Lord and the scriptures helped us maintain a caring attitude for each other. The brotherly love we exchanged for one another was genuine and uncompromising. How beautiful the innocence of those days!

This strong brotherly bond and the unity of those days were greatly envied by the devil so he ‘planted’ a gossip amongst us (Matthew 13:25). It is common practice, to infiltrate the opposing camp one needs to learn the ways and practices of the opposing side, and being unaware of this scheme, we welcomed a messenger of Satan who knew our language. Let me qualify this statement, although the Lord loved and died for all people, some through their works are children of the devil (1 John 3:9-10). With people being easy ‘prey’ and a soft target for the devil, he makes his works and personality known through people, and to identify him; there would always be an element of evil (John 8:44).

As it was, the ‘brother’ who joined our fellowship brought with him a poisoned tongue heavily filled with malicious words of slander and gossip and within a week or so, our brotherly unity and relationship greatly deteriorated with the result that we could not bear being in the same company. By being in that state, the seeds of conflict and hateful feelings had its roots in us, and this ate away whatever love and trust we had for one another. Through this experience, I learned that the unfortunate position why there are so much hatred, gossip, and slander amongst Christian, it happens because love for others became cold in us. As a result of this condition, it serves to deepen bitter rivalries and divisions amongst us.

Rebukes from the Lord to Gossipers

I don’t think there is a ministry without a gossip. There were gossips in the Old Testament (Numbers 12:1), and the Apostle’s Paul and John equally struggled and rebuked gossips (3 John 9-10; 1 Timothy 5:13). For being kind to rebuke and correct some brethren we too had slanderers and gossips amongst us. On some occasions, the Lord exposed and strongly rebuked those went around spreading malicious gossip.

Often, the Lord revealed, that the motive of the gossiper is to transfer a spirit of dislike and hate for others, with the result being that people act loveless towards the victim(s) of gossip. The intention of a gossiper is to influence another to join in to belittle and hate another person. There were specific instances, where the Lord revealed the exact scene and words said to Charis to shame the gossiper and to warn and discourage others from being a gossip.

Also, in our witchcraft article, the Lord exposed both the identity of Satan and the spirit behind the gossiping attack against our ministry. Therefore, this wave of malice, which manifests through gossip is best defeated through prayer and by ignoring it, like Daniel showed (Daniel 6:10). We are commanded to love and pray for those who persecute us through gossip (Matthew 5:44). Additionally, some would say, ‘why did you mention the names of same people in your articles, is that not gossip’? No! They were identified by the Lord to warn you against the deceitful teachings they proclaim.

Furthermore, below we will be sharing with you how malice drove some folk to succeed in a campaign of gossip. As an ingredient, gossips only needed to be motivated by a spirit of jealousy, a desire to oppress others, the pursuit of self-interest and harboring a grudge that issued from hateful feelings.

How Gossip and Slander Destroy Peace and Brotherly Unity

· When Adam and Eve dwelt peacefully in the Garden of Eden, the devil, who is the father of gossipers, he planted a seed of gossip against God’s command which led to the fall of man (Genesis 3: 3-5).

· We further see how King David’s kingdom was threatened by a spirit of gossip through Absalom, for his famous words, "… If only I were appointed a judge in the land...” led to a widespread and negative campaign of gossip against David (2 Samuel 15:4). Although Absalom’s rebellion was from God, (2 Samuel 12:11) we must understand that God withdrew His hand of protection from King David with Satan, through Absalom and others seizing the opportunity to cause division (2 Samuel 15:13; Job 1:9-10). This same spirit later possessed Sheba son of Bicri, and this threatened the stability of David’s Kingdom (2 Samuel 20:1-2).

· Likewise, Daniel’s colleagues, who were jealous of him embarked on a gossip campaign to destroy his life and career (Daniel 6:3-9). Because Daniel feared God, He would not allow such evil destroy Daniel. Instead of fighting fire with fire, Daniel did not try to defend himself; he prayed, and God rescued him and consequently punished the wicked (Daniel 6:10; 24).

· Diotrephes, a disciple who was driven by self-interest, gossiped maliciously about some of the early Apostles to draw the crowd to himself (3 John 9-10). Undoubtedly, this has become a common practice of many Christians who allowed negative feelings to ‘eat’ away love from their hearts for their fellow brethren.

Why some Christians Go from one Church to another?

I will only provide a narrow explanation based on some answers from the Lord on the above question. We have about three large books of about 188 pages with messages and visions which we received from the Lord through Charis. Additionally, we have just over 70 voice recorded visions and conversations Charis had with the Lord. Together, this makes an invaluable teaching available for the body, which we have shared and continue to share on this platform.

Now for our question above, in some of the conversations in a brief summary, the Lord said some Christians appoints themselves as leaders to control others. The Lord is not particularly pleased when Christian’s move from one Church to the other. The floor crossing to other ministries is a human factor and not from the Spirit (Ephesians 4:2-6). The Lord explained that some people feel insecure, others feel unloved, and others are attention seekers who love large gatherings to show off. Like the Pharisees, they like to pray and worship loud to draw attention to their devotion (Matthew 6:5). I am not saying making a joyful noise to the Lord is wrong (Psalm 98:4). The issue we are addressing is, is your joyful noise directed to God or to show off? Because emotionally, either motive is present. The only difference being is that God is the Judge of the real motive.

I would like to encourage those who are meeting as a small group of believers; small groups are more effective and people are often faithful in attendance and commitment. Also, having been part of small groups, I experienced that the fellowship of small groups delivers genuine and quality prayers, praises and worship to God. The move of the Spirit is evident and we often experiences the manifestation of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. It is also true that smaller groups shows active participation and renders fruitful service. We should therefore, not underestimate the power the Lord has vested in small groups, for they listens to His voice and not the dominant voices of the masses (John 10:27). He only needed Abraham to bless the world (Genesis 22:18). The Lord Jesus only needed 12 men to change the world (Mark 3:14). We don’t have time to provide more biblical examples of the effectiveness of spiritual growth and faithful service to God by a small Christian group. We also shared at length in our Introduction and how this ministry started articles, how the Lord used our small group to reach countless people. We have since maintained our faithfulness.

In contrast, having been part of larger group meetings too. I heard the reasoning of some people why they prefer larger gatherings because some reported that they are motivated by the presence of others. This, I have noticed serves as security and people often feel good to be part of such large crowds. This false sense of security might be deceptive as many people from larger church groups copy the worldly behavior and habits of others (Exodus 23:2).

Moreover, we are familiar with the influence a large crowd can have on an individual, we also know the saying, ‘All of us can’t be wrong’ (Daniel 3:7). True, but we need to be careful! The influence of a bigger crowd usually usurps and limits the individual’s decision making. Which often renders an individual the status of a follower (Acts 19:32).

In conclusion, we would like you to consider the following seven questions and look into your soul while examining yourself. Do you always feel a strong urge to speak badly about other people? Are you often irritated at others to the point of being openly impatient with them? Do you love to know what is going on in other’s private lives? Are you unable to resist a conversation that highlights negative things about other people and so you listen and nod in agreement? Do you find it easy to discuss others negatively? Are you in the habit of using the mistakes of people against them even when you said you forgave them? Do you often ask a lot of questions not out of interest but to evaluate the lives of others? If you answered yes, you might be suffering from a gossiping spirit, a hateful spirit towards others and a loveless heart for your neighbor.

For a solution, you need to repent and pursue deliverance. In our deliverance articles, we mentioned that people do not receive deliverance from a single prayer or confession, but some strongholds get broken through constant prayers, and there may be a need for fasting too (Matthew 17:21).

If you are not yet born again, please pray this Prayer of Sincere Repentance to get you started. For any questions or comments on this article or our ministry, please contact us.

With Christ's love,

Wilful Sinning

Sinning Deliberately

When the Lord gave Charis this message on (May 4, 2014)  for us to write, she says His voice tone was very serious and firm. He was giving it as a warning! The Word of God says, “For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins” (Hebrews 10:26 ESV).

Important Notice: Brethren, this ministry would like to apologize to all our faithful readers for not updating the articles as has been in the past. The moment Brother Glenn is freed from his obligations, he will do his regular contribution on this blog. In addition, the Lord has been giving us short prophetic messages which we shared locally and after prayer, the Lord said that we should create a tab on this blog and share those messages. In the next few weeks, we will be making a few changes and all new prophetic messages from the Lord will be shared under a new tab called "Prophecies". Please be on the outlook for it in the next few weeks.

I was recently asked by a God-fearing brother what a double life is; I responded by saying it is willful sinning and blatant disobedience. We should therefore not take the Lord’s warnings lightly; they are meant to keep us on course. We should also remember that the Lord is Judge and His warnings have eternal consequences. So then, when He warns us He is extending His love and grace, and the Lord is reaching out to us to repent (Ezekiel 18:31).

What Causes Us to Sin Willfully?

Recently (May 4, 2014), the Lord gave me the task to warn a person who is engaging in sinful behavior without regard for God. I took the Lord’s message to her, telling her that the Lord said He is seeing everything she is doing and that she must stop. As is common to human nature she lied and denied everything at first (Genesis 18:15). Only after I told her that it was the Lord saying she did those wrong things did she admit and confessed that the Lord was right and that she was battling to conquer some of her old habits.

The Apostle James said, “…but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed” (James 1:14). Similarly, Paul encouraged us to walk by the Holy Spirit so that we deny the flesh its sinful desires (Galatians 5:16). Like I alluded elsewhere, human nature requires a law or a rule to base our decisions on. If our decisions are unguarded, we would act only in our interest and often without regard for God and others (Proverbs 3:15-16). Self-interest, which is a powerful weapon that Satan is using to draw us away from the Lord, is one of the biggest enemies against our relationship with our Heavenly Father (Genesis 3:6). Because of human weakness, we often express self-pity and give others blame for our lack of self-control and disobedience (Genesis 3:12). However, whatever excuse(s) we offer will not make us guiltless; it might make us feel a little better, but the guilt remains and in God’s perfect Justice He requires an account or answer (Genesis 3:11). When we act contrary to our “guide” (God’s Word and Holy Spirit), there is a reprisal for our disobedience.

Furthermore, the Lord told us that it displeases Him when we sin deliberately as His children and that is showing contempt for His Word. He once told us whatever well-defined excuse we might offer, we are in violation of His Word and the excuses we offer are often an answer of a guilty conscience seeking His Justice. In other words, we are expecting His justice to justify or condemn us; that is why the Scripture says that “there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins” (Hebrews 10:26 ESV).

Salvation is Sacrificed in Willful Sinning

Someone in our ministry once decided to stop praying and attending services after being severely rebuked by the Lord; this was willful disobedience and rebelliousness. Like Paul he was “kicking against the pricks”(Acts 26:14). We cannot become bitter with the Lord; we stand no chance of being justified apart from Him! In fact the only remaining reality is “but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God” (Hebrews 10:27). Knowing that a life outside the Lord bears fruit unto death (Romans 6:23), the brother confessed his wrong-doing, picked up his cross and followed the Lord once again.

Sadly, the Lord told us that many Christians who are living deliberately in sin will not see His face but His wrath for despising His Word (Hebrews 12:14). After a life of sadness and hopelessness in my heart, soon after my conversion and deliverance from wicked living, I went to almost all my worldly friends with the gospel. Some immediately praised the Lord for His grace while others asked for a few days. I boldly confessed to them my faith in Christ. I prayed for their deliverance and salvation often, but sadly, some of them died without being saved. The Lord once told Charis, “One of your father’s friends is going to die soon”, and He showed her in a vision two of my former friends’ photographs, but the photograph of the one who was going to die was made bolder. I approached the friend telling him about the Lord’s warning and that the Lord said he should repent. However, he did not heed the warning and later went back to his old way of living and he died suddenly without having the opportunity to make right with God.

Furthermore, a friend I had came to me shortly after my conversion some seven (7) years ago; he was encouraged and excited when he learned that the Lord saved me from my addictions. After sharing my experience with him, he expressed his desire to become saved too. A few weeks later, he paid me a visit sharing with me the good news of his conversion. Soon after his conversion, we decided to break bread daily; this was before the Lord started speaking to us. This brother was unemployed when he came to the Lord, but about a month after his conversion, he was blessed with a job and went back to his old ways of drinking and smoking. When he stopped visiting me for a few weeks, I suspected that he might have become unfaithful in his walk with the Lord. I paid him a surprise visit and he confessed that he had become weak. This confirmed an earlier dream I had about him that he had forsaken the Lord. He promised to make right with the Lord, but sadly He died about two years ago without doing so. The Lord also showed both Charis and I that he procrastinated his salvation. In a vision, Charis saw this brother having a conversation with someone, and he said that the Lord had warned him that he was going to die, but he did not heed this message. Charis said she could feel he regretted not taking the Lord's warning seriously.  Additionally, in a dream I had about him, he was swearing and he sent me to go speak to his family about the Lord.  Being driven by a strong conviction, I went to his wife and related the message to her.  However, from my observation, she showed very little interested in what I was saying.

As for those of us who are genuinely serving the Lord with a God-fearing conviction, if we make mistakes and sin accidentally, the Lord will forgive us (1 John 1:9). The Lord once said, “I like it when you ask for forgiveness after you realized you have made a mistake”. I cannot say to which extent we make mistakes, but the Lord judges our motives if it is driven by self-interest or if it is an innocent mistake. The Lord also warned us that many people who think their work for Him is justification for willful sinning are badly mistaken. There are people who are gambling and drinking wine or beer and getting drunk, while some think their many good deeds will count in their favor even while living willfully in sin. The Lord says their fate and destiny is already decided. The Bible admonishes us: "Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18).

In conclusion, know this, brethren, that the Lord is not pleased when we sin deliberately; when we do so we are dishonoring Him and our confessional covenant with Him (1 Corinthians 6:17).

Yours in submission to Christ,

Brother Glenn.

Lying in Jesus’ Name

Do Not Say The Lord Says When He Did Not Send You To Talk In His Name

Attention: We are re-sharing this message as Brother Glenn will be attending to a close family funeral.

The Word of God warns us: “Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you” (Deuteronomy 4:2). Also, “Do not add to His words, or He will rebuke you and prove you a liar” (Proverbs 30:6).

Background to This Week’s Article

Recently, or rather this past week, The Lord rebuked a brother for taking the word of a person above His Word and commands. The message which was supposedly from the Lord does not sound correct Biblically. The message that this brother received from this well-known woman of God was that he had done enough already for the Lord in terms of sharing the Gospel (witnessing), and that he should slow down. How absurd!

The Apostle Paul who is considered to be the greatest missionary and witness of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ did not consider his work of witnessing as complete when he said, “For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of; for necessity is laid upon me; for woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel” (1 Corinthians 9:16). Regarding signs of the end, the Lord Jesus said "And the gospel must first be preached to all nations" (Mark 13:10). Preaching the gospel is something we do out of obedience to the Lord till the end.

Now, The Lord has commanded me not to share on this website the vision He gave us this past Wednesday (July 16, 2014), in which He rebuked this brother while referring to the lies that were told in His Name by this well-known witness or woman of God. When someone asserts that “Jesus says to you…” or “Jesus told me to tell you…”, when He really did not send the person to say that in His name, that person is a liar. Doing so also makes the person a false witness and associating Christ with a lie that grieves the Holy Spirit and The LORD; it is the devil and people who are liars (John 8:44), not God, for the Bible clearly states that God cannot lie (Numbers 23:19; Hebrews 6:18; Titus 1:2). The Lord warns us that purposely lying in His name is a serious sin that results in punishment (Proverbs 19:5, 9; Revelation 21:8).

Lying to Please and Attract People

Brethren, the Body of Christ is faced with a new problem: false witnesses. In our context, a false witness is someone who purposely lies in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Kindly allow me to personalize this to you: it is very dangerous for your own soul and salvation to lie in Jesus’ name, thinking that you could use His name to win converts and people’s approval. While I am not allowed to share the vision we recently received on this matter, I am permitted to say, with the seriousness of this message, the fate of this individual is in the Hands of God (Ecclesiastes 12:14; 1 Corinthians 3:13).

Furthermore, the Lord said that no matter how good, convincing and well-intentioned our message may be, lying in His name is a punishable sin (Colossians 3:9; Proverbs 13:5; 19:9). Among the things that The Lord hates is a lying tongue and false witnesses who pour out lies (Proverbs 6:16-19). Remember Paul said: “…so that after preaching to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize (1 Corinthians 9:27 NIV). In his testimony and witnessing, Paul spoke the truth faithfully (2 Corinthians 11:31; 1 Timothy 2:7). As followers of Christ Jesus, we must be faithful and truthful witnesses of the message of salvation. People fall for truth and believe in Him because TRUTH requires TRUST and it comes with loyalty and faithfulness to Him. Our testimony as Christ’ witnesses should be based and anchored on TRUTH. Let me also say this: if you tell lies, you draw loyalty to yourself, and not to Christ; He is TRUTH! (John 14:6) and He testified to the truth (John 18:37).

As it is, since it is impossible for God to lie (Hebrews 6:18), if Christ Jesus was a liar as many in the Church and in the world still regard Him, God the Father would not have accepted His sacrifice. Therefore, our Lord’s sacrifice of Himself was accepted and God seated Him at His right Hand as testimony to His victory over sin and the death which came as a result of a lie from Satan (Psalm 110:1; Mark 12:36; Mark 16:19; Hebrews 8:1; Hebrews 12:1-2; Colossians 3:1).

Therefore, the new type of “ministry” attracting people today with lying testimonies and fabricated “visions” aimed at keeping people in awe and loyal to the gift is not from God (Matthew 24:24-25; 2 Peter 2:1-3). In our False Witness article and subsequent articles thereafter, we pointed out as the Lord revealed to us, that some people made up stories of Heaven, Hell and visits from Him. This has undoubtedly become the new way of attracting people and money.

Consequences of Lying in Jesus’ Name

Through the years, I have received countless emails from people who wrote voluminous words supposedly from the Lord. In some of these letters, people claimed that the Lord gave them certain signs that would occur before the rapture. Some in their tricky lies, claimed that the Lord has postponed or delayed His coming. This is not Biblical, and it goes against the Scripture that says: “God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill? (Numbers 23:19 NIV). God is immutable and not like a shifting shadow figuring things out (James 1:17). He has predetermined everything to happen at the times He set out by His WISDOM and AUTHORITY (Acts 1:7).

Consequently, those who set dates and predicted certain events of violence have been exposed, for they lied in the name of the LORD and this has led to the destruction of many people’s faith in the Lord. The Bible warns that these false teachers/pastors will be punished for the lost souls who stumbled as a result of a false message or revelations (Jeremiah 23:2 KJV). The prophet Hananiah prophesied lies in the name of the Lord (Jeremiah 28:1-17); he met a bitter end, and so would this prophecy apply to all those who blurted out lies in the name of the Lord (Jeremiah 23:12-15).

Meanwhile in our ministry, as small as we are, there was once someone who succeeded but was exposed by the Lord in giving us some false and fabricated visions for attention. Some of those visions made some Scriptural sense, if you know what I mean; one could tie one up and make it Scripturally relevant. Admittedly, at first I was also deceived and led to believe those lying visions, but after questioning and the uneasy feeling I would experience, I would put such “revelations” aside while waiting to hear from the Lord. In a mighty rebuke, the Lord exposed this lie and the person involved confessed and admitted that he had made up the visions. The Lord indeed searches the hearts and examines the secret motives (Jeremiah 17:10).

We have had people sending us messages wanting to confirm some word they received from someone if it was from the Lord. Kindly allow me to say this: The LORD does not allow people to test Him. In some case, He will simply not answer and we will know the person is either trying to test the Lord or He did not pray or have enough faith to receive confirmation. Therefore, if the Lord is to confirm a word, He will confirm it through a powerful vision of the actual event.

As a further testimony, we have had some people and children lying to us using in the name of the Lord, and in visions He would actually show us (through Charis) what happened in order to authenticate His message while exposing the lie told in His name.

In Jesus’ name, beloved brethren in Christ, please refrain from lying in the name of the Lord saying He said certain things which He actually did not say, or false claiming He did certain things for you so that you can lure people over to you or try to make your testimony appealing. You are working against your salvation and the LORD will not welcome a false witness in His Kingdom! Therefore, kindly take this message as a serious warning. DO NOT LIE IN THE NAME OF THE LORD! I once heard somebody telling me that as long as people speak things in the name of the Lord, even lying about gifts and revelations, it is good “as long as it get people saved”. In Jesus’ name, you are being a false witness – your lies are not needed to uphold truth from Christ Jesus! Remember our works will be burned through fire to allow only truth to stand (1 Corinthians 3:13).

How to Guard Against False Teachings and Lies

Finally, here are some ways you can yourself against lies purported to be in the Lord’s name:

1. Develop intimacy with God through study the Word of God and earnestly praying for deliverance from deception (Joshua 1:8; 2 Timothy 2:15)

2. Build a deeper faith in God and a sensitive spirit to the Holy Spirit, seeking His help for understanding/discernment (Matthew 24:4-5; James 1:5).

3. Love the Truth and seek to obey God's Word (2 Thessalonians 2:10). Do not seek to hear only what is appealing to the ears or the flesh (Jeremiah 5:31; 2 Timothy 4:3).

4. Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world (1 John 4:1 ESV; 2 Peter 2:1-22).

5. Check all teachings against God's Word (Acts 17:11). "For God is not a God of confusion but of peace..." (1 Corinthians 14:33 ESV)

6. Repent and seek to do only God's will in obedience (Matthew 7:21-23).

Have you been lying in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, or have you believed or shared lies that were presented to you in the name of the Lord? If so, please repent. If you are not yet born again, here is a Prayer of Sincere Repentance to get you started. For any questions or comments on this article or our ministry, please contact us.

Do Not Idolize Servants Of The Lord

Rebuking A Brother For Idolizing

"So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, 'We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty" (Luke 17:10 NIV). Furthermore, the apostle Paul strongly rebuked the Corinthian Church when he said, "For when one says, I follow Paul," and another, "I follow Apollos," are you not mere human beings? What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe--as the Lord has assigned to each his task" (1 Corinthians 3:4-5).

I recently had a conversation with a brother and I was SHOCKED TO notice A BROTHER'S BEHAVIOUR After I rebuked him for idolizing a servant of God (1 Timothy 5:20). In his defense and zeal for the ‘mighty’ prophet of the Lord he used a derogatory term which is impermissible for a Christian to utter (Ephesians 4:29). As we know THERE ARE MANY fine PROPHETS of the Lord OUT THERE who hardly crave people’s attention. While we are to love our ministers, nowhere in the bible are we allowed to give them veneration but sadly this generation loves giving praise to men (Acts 14:9). As we know brethren we must worship the Lord only, the gifts a brother or sister has do not make them equal with the Lord and as Paul demonstrated we are servants only. In some of our experiences with the Lord, we had a someone in our ministry who always had a tendency of pastor worship and this grieved the Lord so much so that He gave us visions exposing the sins of that particular pastor to draw the person’s attention to Him as the sole Praise receiver (Isaiah 42:8) and by the Lord’s grace the person was freed from pastor idolization.

Idolizing Dr. Owour

As we all know, some ‘prophet’ is allowing himself to be called the mightiest prophet of the Lord, and still, he is not rebuking nor discouraging his followers regarding this. Furthermore, the show they display to ‘glorify’ their ministers is outright idolatry and blasphemous in the sight of God. Let’s continue with this warning below!

In a short vision previously, the Lord gave us a vision warning that Dr. Owour might also go to HELL and we shared with the readers that Dr. Owour loves the praise of men and this also displeased the Lord. How this happened, we had a visiting brother who greatly idolized Dr. Owour in fact the brother overlooked the Lord’s rebuke and considered Dr. Owour’s words to be the sole authority. In his zeal, the brother wanted to preach the same message of Dr. Owour by even visiting Churches and preaching about ‘holiness and repentance’. For his trouble, the Lord rebuked the brother saying, “I did not call My son Fred (not real name) to preach in Churches about holiness and repentance, but to be an ambassador and witness of the Gospel’. As a result, the brother and many other brethren did not take kindly to this rebuke from the Lord, he even said we are ‘blaspheming’ Dr. Owour and for such folly, the Lord punished such brethren. Lately, Dr. Owour claims that God Almighty addresses him as 'my lord' how blasphemous!

In addition, the Bible forbids prophet worship and to discourage people not to make a shrine of Moses’ graveside God buried him (Deuteronomy 34:5-7). Also, let’s look at the prophet Elijah, he was a humble servant who never insisted on self-honor. Thus, a true prophet or servant of God should rebuke his or her followers if not, the servant could be serving for self-adulation.

In conclusion, we are sharing a few Bible verses, “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid” (Proverbs 12:1KJV).

Also, “So don't bother correcting mockers; they will only hate you. But correct the wise, and they will love” (Proverbs 9:8 KJV).

Finally, If you would like to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and be freed from fear, please get started by praying this Prayer of Sincere Repentance. As always, for any questions or comments on this article or our ministry, please contact us.

Being Disrespectful Displeases the Lord

Love “isn't RUDE. It doesn't think about itself. It isn't irritable. It doesn't keep track of wrongs” (1 Corinthians 13:5 God’s Word Translation).

I received this message when I paged through the book in which Charis recorded all the Lord’s messages to us and many other people. What struck my attention was the Lord’s repeated warning to us NOT to be rude. Strikingly, one brother was warned that his habitual rudeness will land him in Hell. As it is, most of these messages to the various individuals were given in a serious tone, because the Lord phrased it as, I have a serious message for my son or daughter ….It is not hard to figure out that somebody rude has anger, hurtful feelings and operates from the absence of peace. Being rude shows the presence of evil and God’s absence!

Offensive Christians

As Christians, we are expected Biblically to live our lives completely free from any kind of ungodly influences and evil behaviour (Ephesians 4:22-32). Literally, the Bible encourages a very high standard of holy living, free from a willful and evil attitude. It means in our conduct love, patience and humility must be evident. In other words, a Christian must be seen to be simply different ready to shine forth in love.

Having been around many Christians in ministry work, I did come across very nasty ‘Christians’ who displays a sour attitude of extreme hateful and hurtful behaviour. In almost spontaneity, they display the fruits of anger, dislike of others, intolerance, keeping away from associating and participating in any ministry activity and avoiding the trouble of working for the benefit of others. In their love for troublesome behaviour, it is almost an offense to correct such ‘Christians’. No doubt, their inclination and obsession to their old attitude is nothing more than just a redress and not a complete change of heart and attitude. Being Christian requires of us to BE from the heart and our attitudes will be inviting, easy, approachable and a comfort to the troubled (2 Timothy 2:24). As Christians, we must continuously and consciously live to display a gentle attitude not by pretence but by a genuine conviction of devotion to this lofty life of peace in Christ.

Therefore, the direct opposite of being rude is to be respectful. Usually, we regard it as common practice when we act offensively towards others and this is rudeness. It is offensive and rude to interrupt and cut others off. It is equally rude and offensive to react angrily to a person’s previous misconduct; instead, we should pursue peaceful relations and overlook offensive behaviour (Proverbs 19:11; Hebrews 12:14). Being counselled by the Lord, I was told not to angrily and grudgingly respond to people’s offensive opinions and remarks (comments) but in gentleness and kindness we should correct (2 Timothy 2:25). In addition, some time ago, a brother [John] shared with me how he regretted innocently offending another brother [James] without ever thinking what he said would appear offensive. In reply and surprisingly, the brother James responded with much anger, hurt, and succeeded in conveying his foul mood and attitude towards brother John. To avoid a deeper feud caused by a misunderstanding, Brother John wisely toned down his response in a spirit of peace and to save their brotherly relationship in Christ. We all act as impetuously at times, it would be only to our benefit to learn from the experience of our brother John. So then, the presence of the love and peace of Christ in our hearts drives away the troublesome spirit of being rude (Colossians 3:12-17; 1 Peter 4:8).

Other Rude Ways

In the Good Manners article, we shared that it is rude when children stay preoccupied with technology and other things in their rooms while neglecting to greet guests. In encouraging the brethren with Having Love in Yourself, we also shared that the abrasive, rude and an unkind Christian does not bear good fruit but dwells in the parched land and away from the fruitfulness and nourishment found in Christ alone (Jeremiah 17:6).We must remain in Jesus Christ in order to bear good fruit and not be cut down (John 15:1-4). Some people are rude and disrespectful to their own family members but kind and respectful to their co-workers and friends whom they desire favour from. This is impartially showing love (James 2:1-7; Colossians 3:25).

We also shared in Life Through Experiences With The Lord Jesus Christ - Part II, that screaming at others during a normal conversation with an angry tone or bitterness is being rude. Some parents instead of Bringing up Children in the Fear of the Lord will resort to changing their tones by screaming, shouting, and yelling at their children in an effort to get obedience. Parents are called not to provoke children to anger (Ephesians 6:4) and the Lord showed that screaming, yelling, and shouting comes from a hateful spirit and is from the DEVIL. Being the salt of the earth and the light of the world, Christians are called not to do the enemy's will by being rude but to do God's will in bearing good fruit (Matthew 5:13-16; Galatians 5:22-23; 2 Corinthians 6:14).

Breaking the Cycle of Rudeness

My family and I just returned from a recent witnessing campaign to a town approximately 400 kilometres (about 250 miles) from Johannesburg and this was in response to a vision that we received from the Lord. In the vision to Jaydeen In early January 2016, and almost similar to the Apostle Paul’s (Acts 16:9-10) she was shown two elderly people we know who lives in that town saying, “You (referring to all of us) did not finish the work you started here, you must return to complete your work”. During our December 2015 visit to this town, we took some evangelising material like tracts with us to do some witnessing during the holidays. However, we did not have enough tracts with us to cover the entire area so we managed to cover a few streets. Knowing how many people still needed to be reached we went obediently and well resourced with tracts. By the grace and goodness of the Lord, we managed to evangelise, inspire and encourage the local Christians to witness as we circled the entire town with the help of a few willing and spirited local boys and girls. However, this exercise did not come without problems and since this seemed to be a new thing to the locals we were met with hostility and suspicion. However, the team and I were equally armed with love, patience, humility and gentle kindness (Galatians 5:22) and this grace from the Lord broke and silenced the spirit of rudeness because “…so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:10-11 NIV). As a result of our sincerity and truth, the locals responded respectfully as we showed obedience to the message we presented to them.

Brethren, as people it is common sense that we naturally engage in relationships with others and how we manage such relationships depends on our values. Some of our values might be motivated by our relationship with the Lord, our attitudes in submission to the new life in the Lord and our love for others (Mark 12:31). Basically, we break the cycle of the old person of being rude as other sinful things when we adopt an attitude to adapt to the new life in Christ. In so doing, we forcefully break the chambers of resistance to a new life in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16). This takes place when we willingly give in and over our own appetites, desires and will in exchange for the life of the cross. Now just listen to the Words of the Lord, “…My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will" (Matthew 26:39). It is therefore our willingness to be humble and submit by a strong conviction to please God that the old chains of bondage give way to the refreshing and non-offending new life (Ephesians 5:21).

In conclusion, in the old worldly life, it was encouraging to be mean, oppressing of others, controlling and showing off, but in the new life in the Lord Jesus Christ, we must live with respect and love according to His will (2 Corinthians 5:17). This includes giving soft answers instead of returning insult for insult and reviling for reviling (Proverbs 15:1; 1 Peter 3:9).Therefore, are you still willing to just like the teachings of the Lord but consciously and willfully live by the dictates of the old man of being rude, disrespectful and disobedient? Against our will, we must choose the Lord’s kindness – it is for our eternal good. Scripturally, Heaven is for the childlike, the humble and those who seek peace (Matthew 5:3-10).

To accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please start by praying this Prayer of Sincere Repentance. For any questions or comments on this article or our ministry, please contact us.

Be blessed in the Lord’s peace and kindness,

Accusing other Unjustly Is Displeasing To God

The Lord provided an excellent message of encouragement through a faithful brother and his dear wife who always put the things of God first and who share the joy of this work with us (Philippians 1:4-5). In addition to this week’s message, the Lord has provided a heart-warming and an encouraging vision (Vision of Disbelief) as an assurance of His love for you and His command to this ministry.

The Bible declares: “Do not go about spreading slander among your people. Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor’s life. I am the Lord” (Leviticus 19:16). We are similarly warned elsewhere by the Lord: “You must not spread a false report. Do not join the wicked to be a malicious witness” (Exodus 23:1 HCSB).

Accusing Others for Self-Elevation

Since the beginning of time, people have always looked for someone to blame for poor decisions or when something [bad] happens to them (Genesis 3:1-13). In the above Scripture, we see Satan initiating the wrong act, the woman disobeying God’s command for selfish gain, accepting sin and leading her husband astray. When the Lord questions them, the man blames the woman, and the woman blames the serpent. In the Bible, Satan is the accuser of the brethren and truly born-again Christians should not be falsely accusing others like Satan does (Revelation 12:10; Zechariah 3:1); it is enough that he is using the world to conspire against the Lord! (Acts 4:24-28).

Naturally, people always act out of self-interest and at the expense of others. It is so easy to look back at the history of any given nation and to point a finger to some wrong decisions our predecessors made, and start blaming them for our current problems. We are all imperfect (Romans 3:10, 23) and the Lord is not pleased when we blame others for our own mistakes. No matter the influence, we have a responsibility to live obediently before God; He will judge those who sinned in the past (Hebrews 9:27 NKJV). Therefore, even though we may have objections, the Lord still holds us accountable for the poor decisions we make (1 Samuel 15:24); this is called personal accountability to God (Ezekiel 18:20).

Examples of False Accusations

The Bible highlights several examples of people falsely accusing others. In her lust for Joseph, Potiphar’s wife enticed him day after day to go to bed with her. However, Joseph feared God and respected his master. As we know, this lustful obsession led Potiphar’s wife to resort to lies and false accusations, resulting in Joseph being wrongfully imprisoned (Genesis 39:7-20). In accusing Joseph, Potiphar’s wife was keen to gratify her selfish craving, blaming others for her weakness instead of taking personal responsibility.

Moreover, we see with great consequence how Korah, Dathan and Abiram tried to lead a rebellion against Moses and Aaron by heaping false accusations upon them and stirring up the people, in their zeal for self-elevation. However, the God of justice rejected and publicly shamed Korah, Dathan, Abiram and their followers (Numbers 16:3-33). We should never desire to prescribe to God; instead we must be humble to accept His will without question (Luke 14:7-11).

In yet a further example, we see how Joab was motivated by anger, hatred and jealousy and falsely accused Abner, a man with good intentions, of spying to commit treason (2 Samuel 3:24-25). As we know, Joab’s motivation for killing Abner was based on hatred and grudge (2 Samuel 3:30). Often, we find people starting quarrels and fights using false reports because they are motivated by jealousy, selfish ambitions, and other wicked intentions (1 Kings 21:8-14). Brethren, next time you stand to accuse someone falsely, please examine your motives, and if they are malicious, please repent in Jesus' name, and withdraw those accusations against your fellow man. Remember, the Lord hates lying and people who stir up strife or conflict and suppress the truth (Proverbs 6:16-17;19).

Again, we betray the truth while denying others justice for money, power and self-interest. While many people were rightly believing in and following the Lord Jesus, the chief priests and Pharisees were worried about their status, power, and privileges so they plotted to kill Him (John 11:45-57; John 12:19). In the trial of our Lord Jesus Christ, his accusers used every vile motive like jealousy and hatred for the truth to silence Him so that they may continue in sin (Matthew 26: 57-68; 27:20-23).

As an observation, some lawyers do their best to conceal the wicked motives of some of their clients in a bid to give them unfair advantage during the trial, leading to miscarriage of justice. While those motives might be concealed from man in extortion of truth, God will bring to light all the hidden works of darkness (Luke 8:17; 12:2-3; 1 Corinthians 4:5).

From my own experience, I did not escape the Lord’s rebuke on this sin of falsely accusing others. In a fit of anger one evening, I uttered some strong words against a member of my family, and these words were very displeasing to the Lord. Shortly after the incident, I apologized with some reservations, blaming my past upbringing as the root cause of my unwarranted behavior. In His rebuke and judgment of my actions, the Lord gently, yet in STRONG terms called me to order by reminding me of my responsibility in regard to my commitment to Him. His words convicted me and I felt guilty for falsely accusing and blaming others for my willful sin. Brethren, the Lord said that purposeful and willful sinning is provoking Him to judgment against us (Deuteronomy 9:7-8).

God Judges Malicious Accusers Swiftly

As in the case of Korah and his followers when they falsely accused Moses and Aaron (Numbers 16:1-35), other jealous accusers were also punished. These include:

  • The accusers of Daniel (Daniel 6:24)
  • Miriam, Moses’ sister who instigated an accusation against him (Numbers 12:1-11)
  • Shimei, who cursed and accused David falsely of forcefully taking the Kingdom of Israel from Saul when it was the Lord who gave Him the Kingdom of Israel (2 Samuel 16:5-8; 1 Kings 2:36-46).
The Lord does not condone selfish human motives and judge in their favour; He judges impartially (1 Peter 1:17). This is what I found out a few months ago when I accused someone of wrong doing; the Lord acknowledged that person’s mistakes and showed me mine too. Brethren we are not mentioning this to induce fear in you, nor do we try to set ourselves apart as untouchable. Our message and teaching to you must stand the Scriptural test (Acts 17:11). If our message has genuine motives and brings glory to God, He will grant us favour.

In the light of the above examples, no one accusing others falsely will escape God’s wrath and judgment. His judgments are swift, sure and without delay. There are many people who think that God will only deal with the unjust on Judgment Day. While it is true that judgment day is coming, there are Scriptures that show that the Lord does issue immediate judgement as well (Revelation 3:19; Acts 5:1-11). Additionally, in our experiences with the Lord and as a ministry, we have witnessed the Lord issuing punishment on the guilty and those who oppose His will. There are many people -- Christians and non-Christians alike -- who are simply not discerning God’s judgments. As it is, when Herod opposed the gospel and failed to honor God he was struck dead (Acts 12:23) and Elymas the false prophet was stricken with blindness (Acts 13:6-12) for opposing the gospel.

As a ministry, we have also endured attacks against our messages and visions from the Lord. In preserving the integrity of our message, the Lord came to our defense, serving those who attacked and accused us falsely with judgments exposing their evil (See The Vision of Serllia in the Spirit of Witchcraft article). Still, the Lord rebuked others who tried to justify the status of their leaders, showing that no one is above His Word (See Lying in Jesus’ Name article). Closer to home, there were people who attended our home ministry and in their jealousy and malicious gossiping they spread falsehood about us. In messages and visions to us, the Lord exposed their hidden motives while correcting them to repent from such sins. The Lord has cautioned many of us in this ministry against accusing others falsely. Often the Lord finds such actions deliberate and maliciously motivated by hatred and grudges, causing hurt to others for self-gain. Let us therefore be silent like a lamb: “He was abused and punished, but he didn't open his mouth. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. He was like a sheep that is silent when its wool is cut off. He didn't open his mouth” (Isaiah 53:7 GW).

Divisions Separate Brethren

Sowing Divisions Amongst Brethren

“I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive” (Romans 16:17-18 ESV). Also, “With perverted heart devises evil, continually sowing discord” (Proverbs 16:14 ESV).

We will be brief in this message that the Lord gave me to write. Also, this is a very serious message for the body and in the Words of the Lord Jesus He said, “A house divided against itself cannot stand” (Matthew 12:25 KJV). It is true, if a message that is contrary to sound doctrine is being presented we are scripturally obligated to object to such a message if there is scriptural authority (Acts 17:11).

Keeping A Pure Heart Before The Lord

Last week Friday morning (June 15, 2018), the Lord spoke to me in a vision saying, “A Christian should always keep a clean heart before Me and be blameless”. As a minister of the gospel, and being in Church services for more than 20 years, I have witnessed how some Christian brethren left the ministry God called them to serve without informing the pastor or minister under whom they served and soon after they left the spirit of malicious gossip would follow with venomous criticisms. And what we noticed, these brethren want to appear being better than the ministers under whom they served. We are telling you the truth here, a few years ago, the Lord revealed to us that a brother or sister who leaves a ministry where God called him or her to serve under, unless God calls him or her into ministry work, such a brethren should never leave under a spirit of strive and conceit like Satan (Ezekiel 28:15) but love should govern all our relationships with the brethren hood (1 Corinthians 13:5-7).

Do You Keep A Record Of Wrongs Against Your Brethren?

Additionally, the Lord further explained that if a brother or sister left under the spirit of strive, he or she did so because the love the brethren was supposed to have for his or her fellow brethren has gone cold and that is evident through the flood of false accusations and gossip sessions against God’s anointed leader(s) (Romans 16:17-18).

Furthermore, the Bible says, “...Love does not count up wrongs that have been done” (1 Corinthians 13:5 NCV), how noble such conduct which could help us walk in unity! Brethren as a Church, we need to highlight such evils in the body and discourage people from practising such because such behaviour sows divisions in the Church and it strains relationships between brethren. As a ministry, we fell prey to such malicious behaviour and that such conduct deeply displeased the Lord who said that strive breathes divisions and a brother who gossiped about his fellow brethren did not act from the Holy Spirit but out of hateful feelings. Being God, the Lord encouraged us to forgive and to pray for the brethren.

Finally, being an encourager lifts the brethren and it greatly pleases the Lord, but “A useless person causes trouble, and a gossip ruins friendships” (Proverbs 16:28 NCV). Let us seek the Lord Brethren, and pray for all the members of the body including those who allow evil talk to separate them from sincere members of the body of Christ. Do you keep a record of wrongs against your brother or Sister in Christ? IF so REPENT! The Lord wants us to remain blameless (Philippians 2:15).

We would like to extend an invitation to anyone who does not know the Lord Jesus Christ yet, or of you are not born again, to pray our suggested prayer on this link Prayer of Sincere Repentance
by faith and follow the Lord (Matthew 4:19). You may also contact us for any questions or comments about this article or our ministry.

Humility, The Key That Opens God's Heart Towards Us

The Folly Of Being Conceited

“Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits” (Romans 12:16 KJV).

Brethren, I am re-sharing this message and by God's Grace I will be sharing a new article during next week (24/06/2019). Please do logon to hear what the Lord revealed. Naturally, we all have a high thinking of ourselves, and due to our competitive nature as humans, we consider that others are simply not better than us (Genesis 4:2-5). Often, and in a show of superiority, our actions and attitude become vile to subdue the humble brother or sister so that we may stand out as better in the eyes of man, but God will not overlook our display of superiority for “… God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble” (James 4:6). Equally, uneven relationships exists in our human society today because of our exercise of power and authority. While this might not be entirely evil (Romans 13:1-7), our manner of exercising such authority must be respectful with a sense of brotherly kindness considering that we too are under the Lord's authority (Ephesians 6:9). By this preceding verse, the Bible have literally done away with forceful and demanding conduct, which existed in the old nature (Ephesians 4:22-24). Being conceited is part of human nature, the old nature, this is evident even in children although they might not appreciate the effect it has on others. As it is, we witness daily how some children want to have better things than others, or even bullying others to enjoy the status of superiority.

Therefore, this spirit of ‘betterness’ or conceit gets transferred well into our adulthood. This is a natural fact, ‘betterness’ is a hidden evil in all of us and we don’t want others to be better than us (Genesis 4:8). It is a very sad indictment that among Christians these power games continues to play out without regard for the dignity and respect of the humble brother or sister. In our association with brethren across all walks of life, we have witnessed how some brethren acted in a brutal display of superiority in bringing their points across. O' how unpleasant and peace less is an environment in the presence of such a loveless person! Humility is not an option for such a person(s) his or her status must be considered. When you hear or see others being treated with no respect, the spirit of conceit and controlling is behind it. In Christ, however, as we learn about the Lord and His unselfish nature (1 John 3:16; Romans 3:25), we grow conscious of our mistaken perceptions and mannerism, but not all of us mature in obedience. It is good that we recognise the spirit of conceit and the effect it creates in our relationships with others, the bible encourages us to associate with people of low position, not to be controlling and be demanding but to promote love and brotherly kindness.

Shameful Christian Behaviour of Conceit

Some time ago, we painfully had to listen to a friend in the Lord who recalled to us how he and his family had to endure every kind of abuse from a couple who joined their ministry and because this couple supported the family’s ministry, they were ruthless in their treatment of the lowly family.

After we had counseled the family prayerfully and an enquired of the Lord, He revealed to us that the couple was not humble servants and their worldly status and possessions blinded them that is why they disrespect and treat others shamefully. The Lord is warning Christians not to be demanding when dealing with their fellow brethren, but being patient and kind (1 Corinthians 13:4). As I am trying to explain below, this blindness or concealed conceit is a mannerism that bonded as a personality trait since childhood stages. I can tell you; some people use their status and achievement as a defense mechanism to elevate their status and to humiliate others.

Again, and with permission, sometime ago a friend Andre (not real name) shared with me how he resigned from the company he worked for. He described how embarrassing it was for him to face his colleagues after he was involved in a heated exchange of words with someone on the telephone. Andre, being a Christian, could not face the humiliation as a result of ‘losing it’ so he resigned. He recalled that the guilt of his actions bothered him for weeks as he pleaded with the Lord to take away his guilt (1 Chronicles 21:8). Being familiar with his sincerity in Christ, Andre suffered in silence the consequences of his actions, and unashamedly he said that he regretted talking down to the man he had an exchanged with. Often our words expose our hearts condition (Matthew 12:34), and if we are wise to recognize and admit our folly, there is hope to reflect and reform our ways (Proverbs 28:13).

Subsequently, while Andre lost his confidence and Christian testimony as a result of that incident, he did not give up on his faith. Being unashamed of his experience he encouraged me to share it with the hope that it might minister into the life of someone.

From experience, I have noticed that conceitedness is one hidden hindrance in many Christian’s life. Whether knowingly or unknowingly we habitually often measures the educational or social status of others against ours to determine how we may relate to them. As a result, this may lead us to subconsciously treat others less favorable, but granting better treatment and manners towards those who displays a social class higher or equal to ours (James 2:2-4).

Furthermore, the Apostle James says, not only have we ‘become judges with evil thoughts’ (James 2:4) our actions explicitly testify that we think we are better than the less favorable brother or sister. This is the unfortunate attitude of many Christians who’s abundance blinded them to the basic treatment of others (Romans 12:16), and they think this is pleasing to the Lord (Luke 18:12). There are not many Christians who can discern this hidden sin in their lives and some, when they are corrected, without humbly engaging in retrospection, they verbally attack the mindful brother or sister to ward off the correction.

Consequences of Being Conceited

Brethren, this is serious! From the experience of my brother Andre (above) and having witnessed the things he had to suffer as a result of his conceitedness and shameful treatment of others, he learned humility. Let us not think that we will get away without punishment from God when we hurt and humiliate others because we think we are better than others (Exodus 22:21-23).

Let us consider a few examples of conceited people from the Bible. The Lord Jesus related a parable of a conceited man, a Pharisee who boasted about the things he had and did in his prayer but this resulted in his prayer being rejected by God (Luke 18: 10-14). When conceited, wealthy, powerful and arrogant Haman thought he could unjustly oppress humble Mordecai without consequences; God turned the evil he intended to harm Mordecai with against himself (Esther 3:3; 6:6; 7:9-10). Furthermore, King Nebuchadnezzar was warned by the Prophet Daniel to show kindness to the oppressed and renounce his wickedness and conceitedness and be spared consequences; he stubbornly persisted he was humiliated (Daniel 4:27-33). Also, when King Jehoram, King of Judah grew powerful, he became conceited, and this led him to sin, and this led to his downfall (2 Chronicles 21:1-20).

Finally, please take the time to answer these few questions to reflect if you have a conceited spirit. If you are honest, this could result in your deliverance and keep hindrances from your prayers. You will also experience a greater peace from God upon your life. Are you in the habit of controlling others because of what you give to them? Are you doing things for others only to tell them what you did for them? Are you in the habit of talking down to others? Do you have a demanding spirit? Do you talk about things you do for others? And are you reactive and defensive? Do you always expect credit for things you do for others? (Luke 17:10). By honestly reflecting on these few questions and looking into our souls, we will see our mistakes, and at the same time, we will guard against the deceitfulness of this hidden demon, conceitedness.

As always, we would like to extend an invitation to anyone who does not know the Lord Jesus Christ yet, or of you are not born again, to pray our suggested prayer on this link Prayer of Sincere Repentance by faith and follow the Lord (Matthew 4:19). Christian Reconciliation Comes From God's Spirit

Partnering For God's Work

“Leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First, be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift” (Matthew 5:24 NKJV). Also, “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32 NKJV). Also, "There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called one Lord, one faith, one baptism;  one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all" (Ephesians 4:4-6).

Appeal for Tracts: Brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we humbly appeal to you to please consider donating postage charges on our Ministry’s behalf directly to the Fellowship Tract League. As a ministry, we are constantly engaged in witnessing activities, and we are in need of tracts. However, since each member of the body of Christ works to compliment the work of God (1 Corinthians 12:12; Romans 12:4). Thus, soul winning is a shared burden, and the Lord promised that there would be material and spiritual fruits that God would provide to those who lends to Him (Proverbs 19:17; Philippians 4:17; Luke 10:30-37). We do have a ‘Support Us’ notice towards the right on this blog as commanded by the Lord Jesus Himself. For any further information, you may email us directly at bookorder@prepareforthekingdom.com or email Brother Glenn directly at  glenn.vanrooyen2@gmail.com . Thus, your prayers and support to help us reach the lost for the Lord will not escape God’s attention and your efforts will be duly rewarded (Hebrews 6:10). Brethren, PLEASE! Let this appeal for help not escape your notice in Jesus name.

Divisions Through False Prophecies

As for our message today, let’s be honest, it is common knowledge that Christians the worldwide are looking forward to the Lord’s Coming. We know that this excitement and enthusiasm have been created by the Lord Himself (Matthew 25:13; 24:42-51). The Lord also reminded us recently that His promise of Coming will happen and it will be suddenly. Sadly, though, many well-meaning man and women of God have sacrificed their reputations and fallen victim to the temptation of implicating certain people as being the anti-Christ. Instead of praying for our leaders as the Bible teaches, we are following the world and promote feelings of dislike and hatred (1 Timothy 2:2). Biblically, a Christian is not supposed to practice partially, love is impartial and all encompassing (Leviticus 19:15; James 2:1-7) and we should transcend the cultural (difference) divide through the unifying force of love (Colossians 3:14).

Christians Hating Each Other

I would like to share a brief testimony involving some members of our ministry. A few years ago, two brethren got involved in a bitter feud so severe that it threatened their salvation. This incident completely laid bare the ill-feelings the brethren had for one another. After rebuking both parties for their hatred and intolerance for one another, the Lord encouraged the brethren to forgive, love and to continue fellowshipping with one another (Ephesians 4:32). As the feelings of hatred grew deeper between the brethren, so did the Lord intensified (through messages) the need for forgiveness and love and this insistence from the Lord broke down the wall of unforgiveness resulting in love and true brotherly reconciliation. Through their actions, these precious brethren would not allow ill-feelings to keep them captive in bondage. Instead, their love for the Lord was evident in their respect and love for one another.

Token of Reconciliation

The message the Lord gave me this morning for our article came through a short vision this (22/01/2017) morning. I saw two men whom I perceived to be Christian brothers in the Lord. I could further perceive that one of these men had an intense hate (or dislike) for the other and this hatred led him to avoid the company of the other brother who seemed to be gentle and at peace with the other brother. The vision changed and I saw the two brothers having to face each other with nowhere else to turn to avoid one another. I heard the gentle brother greeting the other cheerfully, and the other brother responded reluctantly. As they walk towards each other, they hugged, and I heard the loathsome brother weeping as he leaned onto the other. He took something from his pocket and gave to the gentle brother as a token of a peace offering (Genesis 32:13-21). Just then another Christian sister passed by and asked, ‘what happened’? And the gentle brother replied, ‘we reconciled and saw the gift I received’ and both of them appeared to be happy and at peace with one another. Thus, this vision needs no explanation except to add that the Lord is teaching us that both parties in a dispute have a responsibility to pursue reconciliation and not just the guilty person. From this, we learn that these two brethren had a need for each other’s love, and being compelled by the love of the Lord in obedience (2 Corinthians 5:14) they ended avoiding each other’s company and made peace.

Fake and Shallow Christianity Equalls Godlessness

On a serious note, there are number of Christians who hate and dislike each other simply because of some points of difference; However, little do they know that their Christianity is being exposed either to love or hatred of others. It is shameful to profess to be Christian while openly harboring and displaying ill-feelings towards your brother(s) or sister(s) in Christ (1 John 4:20-21). Being disobedient to the Lord and allowing bitter roots (of hatred, envy, and unforgiveness) to grow results in us missing the grace of God (Hebrews 12:14-15). The Lord warned that nothing good you ever did would stand for your defense, but your inability to live in peace and pursue it with your fellow man will be your greatest lost (Psalm 34:14-16). Again, the Lord is warning you brethren, just because some Christians are in the habit of avoiding those they regard as enemies and being contemptuous towards others does not mean you have to conform. Let us live to obey the Lord and let us not despise His teachings that encourage us to be good and gentle people for only through these lofty virtues is Christ truly seen and well-regarded (1 John 4:16).

In conclusion, Brethren, if we live not to reconcile with our offenders we may be sure that our prayers are hindered (John 9:31; 1 Peter 3:7). Additionally, not forgetting that true peace from the Lord would be absent leaving us frustrated (1 Samuel 16:14). Thus, don’t be just a Christian in talk displaying your Bible knowledge with an empty, selfish heart, but be one in the power of love which is evident through a peaceful spirit.

Now, if you are ready and willing to pursue peace and reconciliation with those who offended you or if you have offended someone, let it be known that for reconciliation, you must make right with your offender and not God on your behalf. We thus suggest that you pray sincerely from the heart asking the Lord to open the heart of thine offender and after prayer, step out in faith and be at peace with your fellow man (Romans 12:18).
