Life Through Experiences with the Lord Jesus Christ - Part 1

We share this word as an encouragement to the body of believers. This is a small token of our love to you! This is a small contribution to encourage you to walk right before the Lord. Remember, the Lord wants to save souls, so we obey and share.

Also, as you might have noticed, we recently added a donation button on this site and a request for tracts. We asked the Lord if we may ask for donations and He said we may do so, so in obedience and after prayer please determine how you can help this ministry. We have a team of eight dedicated witnesses whom the Lord has commended as Faithful Witnesses. These brothers and sisters live the witnessing life-style and daily we set out witnessing. This ministry does not have a car to use for witnessing, so our members walk very long distances under every kind of weather conditions without complaining. This is all in obedience to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. You are reading their testimonies and the Lord expects you to help! Please do in Jesus name.

I know many Christians have already "Packed up" to leave for Heaven, but work must continue for some of us and we encourage you to work, work. The end is not yet it is still day time we must work.

Having faith in God should not just be in speech, but an attitude of submission in conformity to His righteousness and truthfulness.

The Apostle Paul declares: “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2).

The Apostle James was even bolder saying: “You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God” (James 4:4).

John, the Apostle whom Christ loved said: “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in Him. For everything in the world-the cravings of sinful man, the lust of the eyes and the boasting of what he has and does – comes not from the Father but from the world” (1 John 2:15-16).

Brethren, the above Scriptures and many others in the Bible, are direct warnings to the followers of our Lord Jesus Christ. Today’s society and the various technologies available have undoubtedly challenged our walk with God. We have invited a lot of voices and activities into our lives and the message of God is stifled. In speech we may sound Christian, but not in our hearts and walk. This is the lukewarm walk which our Lord warned about (Revelation 3:16). A lukewarm believer is conforming to worldly standards to be accepted by society. These brethren are ashamed of their faith and live in fear of persecution. I admonish you, wake up people! It’s almost time to Go Home (HEAVEN). “Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning” (Luke 12:35). We, as a ministry and co-members of the body of Christ, are honoured to share some of our experiences with you. This is in obedience to our Lord and our love for souls.

In the church today and quite often, certain behaviour goes without being challenged, and if it is not challenged we readily accept or it becomes acceptable. If you would recall, in our God’s Serious Judgments article, we stressed the point of rebuking unacceptable behaviour. This point is motivated by Scripture (1 Timothy 5:1-2; Leviticus 5:1). Sin must not be allowed to dominate us (Romans 6:12; Genesis 4:7). If we allow others to continue some behaviour that is not Christ-like without warning them, we are sinning and deceiving that person. We must restore an offender in love, but sternly to convey the seriousness of the offence. Later on I will share how the Lord used different tones to grade the seriousness of mistakes we committed. The Lord is very pleased when we humble ourselves before Him and ask for forgiveness, but He is not pleased when we go off and commit the same mistake again. When this happens, we are walking in disobedience and in danger of losing our salvation. Continuous disobedience stifles the Holy Spirit, and eventually results in our conscience being ‘seared as with a hot iron’ (1 Timothy 4:2).

Furthermore, it gives the Lord great pleasure when we walk in His fear. We should value our salvation as sacred. To God, we are holy and sanctified, so we must live to please Him in every way (1 Peter 2:9). He is a Holy and Jealous God! Do not go after wrong teachings, but follow the Bible’s teachings on matters of holy living. I will share a few testimonies and corrections we received from the Lord through Charis. Please allow me to add this point. I refer to Charis because the Lord is speaking to her every night and not to me (Glenn). The Lord commanded her to tell me what she sees and hear and I have been given the grace of interpreting the Lord’s messages and disseminating it. A few weeks before the Lord started speaking to Charis, He showed her in a dream how she was busy polishing my shoes. The interpretation of this dream is the output of these teachings and the rebukes I receive from the Lord myself.

Forbidden Christian Behaviour

Many believers are in bondage and addicted to things in the world. These addictions they accept as part of their lives and that they cannot go without them. Some even go to the extent of saying “God will understand!” I have news for you, He will not understand, for you despise His grace and disobey on purpose! He will Judge and punish you. There was an eight year old girl in our ministry whom the Lord charged to pray for an hour every morning. This girl was repeatedly warned to stop cheating in her prayers. In addition, she was in the habit of doing wrong things on purpose, knowing she would ask the Lord for forgiveness. After a few rebukes from the Lord on this behavioural pattern, she still did not reform her ways, so the Lord issued a punishment for her. I was commanded to discipline her with a belt. This should have served as a deterrent, but she continued in wrong doing until the Lord Himself decreed punishment for her. She was made to read her bible for two hours every day and praying for about two hours, but getting up 1:00 A.M to pray, then go to bed for an hour and wake up after one hour to pray again for an hour. This punishment lasted for about one week until the Lord told her to stop. Now, if the Lord was so stern with an eight year old girl, how much worse for those Christians who despise God’s Word and live in disobedience. I am going to devote the rest of this article to testimonies.

Rebuke for worldly music: Several brethren were rebuked by the Lord to stop listening to worldly music and even singing to this music. I recall one brother being shocked to hear that since he thought nobody knew about that. Praise the Lord he humbled himself and repented. As believers, we are called to worship the Lord in song and any kind of music that does not glorify Christ must not be entertained. Remember you are a holy priesthood and set apart for God’s glory (John 17:15-18; Ephesians 2:10; 1 Corinthians 6:19). You cannot continue to lead the same kind of life you had because “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17). This is unfortunate, but many Christians are deceived by some of their leaders that certain genres of worldly music are acceptable. This does not glorify Christ, and if it does not indeed, then STOP listening to worldly music and listen to anointed gospel music that magnifies the Lord. Remember, this is after all for your own good.

Cell phone addictions: With the introduction of cell phones, we could only make and receive calls; however with the introduction of Smartphones, we chat (IM) the night away and spend most of our time on our phones. I have noticed some are so hooked that they ignore everybody else around them. Sadly, some of these individuals’ personalities have been badly altered and they are possessed and controlled by a demon feeding on this addiction. We had a young girl who attended our home services for a few months, and the Lord gave her a message saying that she was addicted to the cell phone. An addiction is any activity that controls you. This is serious because your personality is altered and being separated from the Lord. We recently bought Charis a cell phone (with her own savings) that has enhanced features like Internet and chat. I have laid down some very strict rules on phone usage and apart from my own rules; the Lord Himself controls her every activity on the phone. Please allow me to boast a little on what the Lord has done: I have no need to watch over Charis; the Lord Jesus works in her and she has a holy fear for the Lord. She has a natural dislike for wrong things and wrong doing. Her personality reminds me of Joseph (see Genesis 37).

Television, gaming and sport addiction: To many people, television, and supporting some sports team is normal because it has become so much part of our everyday lives. Some of you may ask, “do you watch TV?” Yes, I do watch TV, but only the news. After the newscast is over, I switch it off, and we go about our normal family devotional time. Now that I have answered your question, let us continue with our discourse. There are some games that are very violent and this is exposing your children to violence. Not only that, your children are getting addicted, and a spirit of anger is being invited into them. The end result is that you child would become short tempered, impatient and a bully. I will re-write the child rearing article with new teachings from the Lord so the rest of the details will be added in there.

For the adult watching television, this is what is happening to you. While you are watching that program, the Lord showed us that every vice, for example: lust, gossip, hatred, pride, violence etc., portrayed in the program enters you. Furthermore, you don’t just become an addicted, but an active participant. How? Whatever mood and emotion that is being displayed makes us respond likewise. If this continues, we are no longer in control, but we are being controlled. We did receive a message from the Lord regarding watching television and movies. The Lord reached out to an unsaved man who attended some of our meetings. He was told not to watch television, movies and play worldly music and many other wrong things he does. After about 14 days, the Lord gave him another message. Because he never obeyed the Lord’s command, he was told that he was going to go to HELL for his disobedience. My brethren, I warn you in Christ Jesus, do not think you know enough or mature so some things are permissible to you. Let me share this with, we hear from the Lord every night, He is very, very strict! This is an expression of His Holy nature.

The world has highly commercialized sporting events and aggressive marketing strategies are being employed to win people over so that they may become ‘fans’ or followers. We buy into it and follow. The end result is division, although this is intended to be just a game of sport, human emotions plays together thus ejecting a host of feelings like hatred, pride, anger, coarse language, fame, etc. Why so? Because the prize money and the sporting activities ‘marketability’ is high, so a demand for it is being created to lure more ‘fans’ which results in the promoters making even more money. I was an avarice soccer and boxing follower for many years, and I would sit up late at night and even go to some pub to ‘feel’ the vibe. This led me to excessive drinking celebrating a team’s success at the expense of my own money and family. I shared in a ‘joy’ that carried no personal hope for me. I was the real loser, but glory to our Lord Jesus Christ I have been set free from this unnecessary anxiety of which I encouraged to grow in me. Lately, my sport is witnessing, I am a soul winner, I score souls for God’s Kingdom.

Excuses: This practice is inexcusable to the Lord. He can see through our duplicity so we must not offer excuses when we are called to do the Lord’s work. If you put anything else above the Lord (Matthew 10:37), even our secular work at the expense of our time in His fellowship, He is not pleased with such behaviour. The Lord has rebuked some members of our fellowship for offering excuses. Some even go to the extent of saying, ‘the Lord will understand.’ Does this sound familiar to you? Don’t entertain excuses; either say ‘yes or no’ (Matthew 5:37; James 5:12). The Lord considers excuses as dishonesty and disobedience. We would rather be lying than honestly tell that we are unable to do something with real excusable reasons. If the Lord tarries, I will devote an article about the dishonest Christian behaviour.

Being late: A vary faithful member of our ministry team was rebuked by the Lord for being late, especially when it pertains to ministry activities. Many people think that the Lord will understand if they missed their appointed time offering an excuse, No He will not, if we examine why you were late we would find that time was wasted unnecessarily. Let me put it bluntly, being late testifies of a lazy attitude. There is an absence of urgency and excitement for your appointment. This must apply as an attitude in our lives, and show readiness. Consider the experience of the five foolish virgins (Matthew 25:1-13).

Promiscuous talk: Many of folks in the church consider marriage as sacred and indeed the Scriptures discourage promiscuous talk (Hebrews 13:4). I am not going into much detail about this subject, but the Lord did warn a member of our ministry for encouraging and participation in a conversation of this nature. The Lord in His rebuke of this believer said that shemust stop talking about wrong things that are wicked.Do not create lustful feelings! It is not right but sinful of us to even watch such material; you invite the spirit of lust leading you to unfaithfulness. Be holy and observe the above Scripture. In a powerful vision the Lord showed Charis how a youth was committing a shameful act after being possessed by a spirit of lust. Be careful!

Drinking parties: My brethren, the Lord rebuked a sister for allowing a drinking party with worldly music playing at her house. If you are the owner of the house or apartment, be sure to let your inmates or guest know that you are a child of God and nothing of this sort is allowed. This sister was told to be an example, because others knew she was serving God. In everything, pursue purity and never allow wrong things to happen in your house while you are just looking. This is not pleasing to the Lord, He will Judge you for encouraging wickedness. We must rebuke in love. This is disobedience, and you are party to that sin (Luke 17:3; 1 Timothy 4:1-16).

Not sharing with others: The Lord wants us to share with others if they ask from us even if they ask repeatedly. Remember they trust you, and that is why they are asking. What they ask is what they need, so HELP them! (Hebrews 13:16). If we do not share with the needy, we do not care about people and one sister was rebuked by the Lord for having such an attitude. It is disobedience.

Having moods and attitude: Do I have your attention now? The Lord repeatedly rebuked some of us for having attitude and moods. This is a divisive personality and the love of God is not present when a spirit of moods is displayed. In summary moods and attitude are a continuous troublesome temperament that is loathsome. The Lord has given us His Holy Spirit to love, so we must act in the Spirit.

Not honouring our promises: We are sinning if we think we can make promises and not keep them; this is a deadly habit among Christians. This is a command from our Lord Jesus (Matthew 5:37). The Lord finds you to be unfaithful and a liar; this was how somebody was rebuked.

In conclusion, I have intended to keep this article short and I will. There will be a follow up on this article. As you would have noticed, I pointed out only the most overlooked practices and not the usual sins, like gossip, swearing, fighting, etc. These are not absent in the Lord’s rebukes of us. In Jesus name enjoy, repent and share with others as you ready yourself for the Lord’s soon coming. Every day is precious and souls are being lured into wrong doing so I share this message with urgency.

Blessed grace and peace to you all in Jesus name,

Brother Glenn van Rooyen.
